  • Yes! Ours just got them back in - so so good!
  • I haven't really played any of my music in so long, and I've not realized that until this thread got me thinking about it, lol. I mostly listen to podcasts for weights & outdoor running and when on the treadmill I use my iPad for Netflix, Amazon Prime & YouTube.
  • Great advice above, but I do have to ask - you're eating 95% fruits & veggies? Is that correct? So no meat, eggs, dairy, healthy fats? I'm just trying to figure out what type of plan you're attempting to follow.
  • I love him no matter what size he is (he's only 25-30 lbs overweight) or will ever be, just as he loved me unconditionally when I was 260 lbs (now 140). Now that we're both in our mid- upper 40s, of course I wish he paid more attention to what does/may affect his health, but I do what I can here at home for him & anything…
  • According to your before and after weight-loss bloodwork, which exact nutrients were you actually deficient in that supplementing made it possible for you to finally lose the weight?
  • This is exactly me except they were the last place that I lost fat from. For the majority of my weight loss I thought I was in the clear, but nope. I lost them at the end in it seems like only the last 2 weeks before I hit maintenance. Hahaha, my husband was like, "Uh, what's happened here?! Where'd they go? I think I'd…
  • His big pink monstrosity The Women's Book Vol. 1 was *finally* released just a few hours ago....I've been waiting for ages for this! Yes, OP, he is completely legit, wonderfully knowledgeable, and keeps very good company.
  • You mean that's all he would eat? Steak and cottage cheese? My opinion is that's ridiculous. Where in the world did he read that?

  • Popcorn & cheese snack bar, cottage cheese with frozen berries, rice pudding (if I have the cals left), popcorn cakes with almond butter
  • I see your concerns - personally, though, the method means more to me than who funded or sponsored a study. This was randomized and double-blind, and with it being 12 weeks and a 500 cal daily deficit shows real-world application and results. Did it say how many subjects were studied or did I miss that? I'm also interested…
  • I just finished a bowl - it's a great way for me to get a good amount of fiber in. 40 grams of kernals is 130 cals, 24 carbs (6 fiber), 3 protein. I use an air popper then toss with either 14 g melted butter or light spread & whatever seasonings I'm in the mood for.
  • Have you discussed your diet with your coach?
  • An elimination diet may work best at figuring your triggers - Monash is very highly regarded for FODMAP research and education.
  • Thank you for mentioning this. Especially true for those of us with digestive disorders and diseases, when you really dig into the science of sugar molecules digestion & breakdown (mono-, di-, poly-, and what they're actually comprised of) there is absolutely a difference in the digestion of sugars. "Sugar is sugar" can be…
  • Did the people who "wooed" this even bother to watch? Good grief, it's Dr. Layne Norton, he's far from anti-sugar lol
  • I love the variety of Penzey's seasonings - currently my favorite for chicken is the Bicentennial Rub. That with some smoked paprika......yum I am so trying the pickle juice brining suggestion from above!!
  • Are you logging/weighing/measuring your foods? If so, how many calories are you eating? If not, that may be a place for you to start. High protein/low carb is a great way to lose weight if you like that way of eating. So can Weight Watchers, and Keto, and vegetarian, etc. as long as a caloric deficit is hit.
  • Hahaha I know, I know - after not drinking for years & years my husband & I are just getting to know wines again so I know we miss out on good stuff....but honestly the FitVine isn't that bad :D
  • We have finally gotten FitVine wine in this area - app. 95 cals per 5 oz., ABV is around 13%. We're going to enjoy some Carbernet Sauvignon tonight with our Netflix :)
  • I ordered an actual intro to nutrition college textbook. I looked up different universities and checked their curriculum and ordered off of eBay. There are so many basic scientific nutrition principles I had forgotten from school years ago!!
  • Actually, Coke Zero has 35mg while Diet Coke has 46mg. I prefer Coke Zero taste-wise.
  • Sounds like it's possibly yeast/fungus. I lost 120 lbs. & have some excess skin so this happens to me too, mostly under breasts & belly button. Doc told me to use over the counter anti-fungal cream & then powder, clears it up every time.
  • Ribeyes, roasted potatoes, corn on the cob, salad, sauteed onions, watermelon for dessert
  • Great list, OP. I can relate to all of them, lol
  • 1/4 c 2% Fairlife milk with 2 Tbsp sugar-free CoffeeMate liquid creamer, and some artificial sweetener
  • Salad - chicken with Greek seasoning, cherry tomatoes, olives, white beans, cucumbers, feta cheese, artichoke hearts, red wine vinegar
  • I stick to it - eating with no worries can easily blow any deficit I've made through the week and it's even created a surplus at times. Not worth it to me. I do use some of my deficit for certain meals or treats, but I won't just all out eat whatever I want.
  • Fiber is included in carbohydrate count, it isn't it's own macronutrient. 30-50 grams of fiber would most likely make the total carb count on the higher side. OP, this is so similar to what my mom has to eat due to multiple health issues. Her primary diet is lean proteins (get a maximum amount from your doc/dietician, this…
  • You can't spot reduce fat, you need to be in a caloric deficit and then the body uses fat from where it wants to. Now as to which is better, PB2 or almond butter, it depends on the situation. On days where I need more fat I'd pick the nut butter. On days where I don't have those fat calories to spare but want a peanutty…
