What kind of wine and how much? A standard pour (5 ounces) of red wine is around 125 calories.

That's a pretty big glass of wine I think? Depending on the wine, I think it's usually @ 125 cals for 5 oz or so.

ETA: @janejellyroll and I know our wine calories off the top of our heads

Let's get serious here! A bottle of wine is 500-600kcals. (Varies by ABV, mostly.) :p

We have finally gotten FitVine wine in this area - app. 95 cals per 5 oz., ABV is around 13%. We're going to enjoy some Carbernet Sauvignon tonight with our Netflix :)

it was a bottle of pinot Grigio; I had 2 glasses of wine....and at 6oz. I didn't pull that number out of thin number, but from the MFP database...generic white pinot Grigio.

Unfortunately just because something is in the database doesn't mean it's correct. I always try to avoid "generic" entries, as they are usually user entered. The 250 cals is closer to 2 glasses worth rather than one.

I'm drinking a 5 oz/125 cal glass of pinot noir right now.

I measured it b4 pouring it in the glass and that's all I'm drinkibg 2nite.

I figure you're supposed to aerate red wine anyway, so pouring it into the measuring cup and then into my glass is just me being all fancy and high class

I've got some expensive aerators and decanters but I only use them w/the "good" stuff.

Was just drinking out of a cheap $5 bottle of pinot that I used for cooking last night.

Aeration by pre-measuring did little to improve it but any improvement would be worth the effort. ;)

    LOL!
