I enter it under strength as hamstring curl.

Finding that ideal weight is a very individual thing. For instance, both my sister and I are 5'6'', but she has a MUCH smaller frame. For me, 130 = thin and size 6. For my sister, 130 = size 8. Oh and then for my best friend who is taller and has an athletic build, 130 = rail thin size 2 or 4. My sister looks fantastic…

Nice work!!!

That's awesome! Great work everybody!

I know three people who have had the surgery and only one of the three actually looks good. All three of them lost a ton of weight, but two of them are so horribly malnourished that they lost most of their hair (and they are both women), and one of them lost several of her teeth! My friend who has had success and is…

I plan out a weekly menu so that when I go shopping, I basically only buy the food we're planning on eating that week. For lunch, I usually pack myself a "main course" (like a wrap sandwhich or a Cobb salad) and then 2 snack (like a cheese stick and an apple or a yogurt and orange wedges)

I've substituted fat-free unsweetened coffee mate for cream and it has been okay. Another suggestion would be to make a rou with skim milk (heat a tsp of olive oil in a pan, add a tsp of flour. Cook a minute or two and then add 1/2 cup of skim milk and cook over low heat another minute or two until it starts to thicken.).…

This is one of the simple ones for me, but it really helps. Brush your teeth right after meals. I used to nibble on stuff and have an extra drink after dinner. Now I try to brush my teeth right after eating and then I don't want to eat or drink anything other than water. Good luck!

This is just today's challenge. Tomorrow there will be a new challenge. I post every day but Sunday.

When I add a band, I tie the ends together (so its a circle) and step into it so that the band rests on the outside of both anckles.

I just added "chair dips" as a new exercise under strength.

This made me laugh out loud. I did these off of my kids' toy chest today. I've also done them off the edge if the couch in the past. You can make them harder or easier depending on how far out and how much bend you have in your knees.

Absolutely!!

I'd recommend logging it under Cardio as "calisthenics" you can choose vigorous or light effort depending on how much you put into them, and then adding "plie" under strength just so that you can keep track. I like to look back and see what kind of progress I've made.

Looks like great comfort good for this cold weather!

I'm a D cup (got up to a size F when I was pregnant -- yikes), and I love love love the "ta-ta tamer" from lulu lemon. I love them so much that I bought a bunch and basically wear them exclusively (even when I'm not working out). Their stuff is a little expensive, but I tell you, the ta-ta tamer is worth every penny. They…

Yay! Doesn't it feel awesome?!!

10 planks!? Gah! Okay, I'm in for that ;)

Awesome job everybody. Not sure what the handicap is when you've got a 3-year-old climbing on your back... But I'm gonna say you get major points for extra degree of difficulty. I used a 5-lb dumbbell today. My 3-year-old, on the other hand, weighs 30 lbs! ;)
-
If you want to put it in as cardio, you could probably add it as "calisthenics". If you want to add it to strength, you have to add it as a new exercise.

Go get em!!

I got some SERIOUS stretch marks all over my belly (and a few on my hips and thighs) during my second pregnancy. I've lost all the baby weight, but still had the baby belly,(fat on the lower belly, loose skin and major stretch marks). It looked pretty gross. I was starting to think that the only way to get rid of it would…

That is correct. Hold a plank for 60 seconds (or as long as you can with good form). Repeat 4 more times.
-
30 seconds is actually great! When I first started doing them, I struggled to hold it up for 10 seconds.
-
Yikes! You get bonus points for the extra degree of difficulty!

Yup, post back and tell us what you did.

I'm in Washington, DC. We're sort of neighbors (Go Ravens)

It is a surprisingly good workout, but I found that in order to see results, you really need to stack the workouts, or do something else along with it (like go for a walk or a run. I did and do really like the series though. When I first started getting back into shape, I just did 1 10-minute work out a day first thing in…

The Turbo jam series is really fun and can be modified to be easier or harder depending on how you are feeling (plus it comes with 5 different workouts so you can mix it up with cardio, abs, strength training, etc). Tony Horton's 10-minute trainer is surprisingly effective (and hey... who doesn't have 10 minutes). It comes…
