I think you'll find its not about eating less, its eating more of the right things hun. Foods that stay in your body longer and fill you up are sometimes scary as they look high in calories, but you will find you won't crave or need 'top ups' all the time. Getting healthy and loosing weight is not about eating less, you…

I've got some loose skin, especially around the stomach, chest and thighs, but it has been tightening up as I go. I think the weight lifting helps a lot with it. I'm going to give a couple of years at this weight and see how it responds. If I'm not happy with it after that, I may consider getting something done about, but…

Fantastic, what an inspiration, my son was like you, and he has a pair of jeans exactly like that lol...........he lost, went from 25 stone to 14 stone 1, but, he had terrible excess skin, how did you cope with this as I am getting is as I loose the weight?

Well done everyone on this thread, I do feel its harder for us older ones to loose weight, especially around menopause time:huh:
-
oh I meant to say, just because something is high, doesn't mean its bad for you, like rice for instance, its filling and healthy and stays in the body longer to keep you fuller for longer

I too come from a WW background and short term SW, both worked for me, and what I have learnt is how I am calorie counting now:wink: I eat most of my calories for my main meal. I use them for what I personally term as 'proper' foods. I do eat nuts, share half a small bag with my son, so that means I can have a little…

Wow, wonderful stories in here for us who have lots to loose. Oh please PLEASE do not stand on the scales daily, at the very least, stand on them around the same time, same scales, same place at the same time, if you have eaten before you weight, then ALWAYS do that, if you don't, they do not eat before you weight. You can loose 5lb over night!!! depending on the time of day you…

I am 54, and yes it is harder. I am going through the menopause and all over the place [period wise] which really doesn't help. But sticking with it does help, I've started to eat less carbs and upped my protein like my GP said and its now working, I don't eat certain fruits as they tend to hold more water, or limit…

I did WW for 2 yrs and lost 11 stone, then my daughter joined SW, I thought I'd go along with her and lost a further 16lbs, we didn't get on with SW [all that cooking and A and B's!] etc, So seeing that my son had lost 10 stone, had all his excess skin removed, OMG I just couldn't put the weight back on................I…
