  • To keep myself within a serving size of things that come in a bag like pretzels or veggie chips (love the Tomato Basil ones from Aldi's), I weigh out a serving size and I only take that amount with me to work. I work at a desk and we all have a drawer full of snacks. If you like lemon, the Fiber One lemon bars are amazing!
  • I used to mix chicken and veggies with brown rice, you could also swap the chicken for the shrimp. Meatless meals are inexpensive, but it would depend on what you can get the kiddos to eat! I plan on having grilled cheese this week a couple of times. I bought Rye bread, because I love it, and thought I would add mushrooms…
  • If you want to try them, go ahead. But don't spend $200. That's crazy. Do some research online and I'm sure you can find them for cheaper, just make sure they are a quality supplement. I have tried them, but they didn't work for me. I have tried lots of things once, some worked and some didn't. Some worked when I was…
  • I stopped eating meat a few months ago and I've never felt better. Haven't been able to give up the dairy yet, but am working on it. I watch my carbs very closely though so I don't overdo them. I'm not low carb by any means, but I don't want to substitute carbs for meat and gain weight instead of losing.
  • I plan my meals and log them the night before, packing my lunchbox for work. It makes my morning go a lot smoother and helps me stay on track. I generally don't do it on the weekend, though I really should, because I tend to stray off my plan sometimes on the weekend. I guess that's a goal I can work toward.
  • I have had anxiety for years, though only diagnosed about 3 years ago. I take Zoloft daily and Xanax as needed. It hasn't hurt my weight loss at all, in fact, I've lost 27 pounds so far and have been on it since I was diagnosed. I encourage you to go to the dr for help. It changed my life. I wish I had gone years ago and…
  • I drink iced tea all year round, only hot tea if I am sick. I usually make a mixture of black and green tea in my iced tea maker. I'm trying dandelion now, which isn't bad. I never sweeten my tea. I am originally from Montana and we don't sweeten iced tea there for the most part, or at least that's the way it was growing…
  • I'm lactose intolerant, so I always drink soy milk. I was going to try Almond milk, but soy has a lot more protein and I don't eat meat so I need that extra protein. I only use it in my shake in the morning though bc otherwise I never drink milk.
  • This will be a difficult journey, but you can do it! The best and most important step is starting and knowing that you want to change. I don't consider this a diet, to me it is a lifestyle change. I've lost and gained over the years, but I am vowing that this will be the last time, that I will succeed and keep the weight…
  • I stopped eating meat about 3 weeks ago, so I'm new at this. I do eat eggs and dairy, though not a lot of dairy since I am lactose intolerant and some are easier to digest than others. I drink soy milk. I basically stopped because I thought it was a healthier lifestyle. I know chicken and fish are healthy and good sources…
  • I work in an 8 story building so during my lunch, I walk up and down the stairs. If it's warm, I will go outside and walk. The stairs are hard for me all at once, going up, so I will walk a flight and get off on the floor and walk around for a min or 2. Also helps me to get acquainted with the different business in the…
