Lean Cuisine and Weight Watchers meal are typically high in sodium. Are you drinking enough water? I agree about not giving up too early! Try not to get too frustrated and just stick with it. It takes time and planning to lose weight especially if you have lots to lose. It's good to lose at a rate of 1-2lbs a week.

I think you lost something: your sense of humor.

I add Rotel to leftover brown rice. Sometimes I add a little cheese on top. Sometimes I don't. Heat it up and ENJOY.

One of my facebook "friends" posted about how she HATES her gym in January and can't wait for all of the "fat people to just leave already". The funny thing is that SHE started her own weightloss journey/new lifestyle in January 2011...so she really has no room to talk. In college, we had a huge rec center but the…

People can be so rude, I swear! When I got pregnant last year, I weighed quite a bit (but had lost 16 lbs prior to getting pregnant) and to my school co-workers, I never actually announced that I was pregnant. So when I was 7 months pregnant, a teacher asked me when I was going to tell her that I was pregnant. I told her…

I wouldn't judge soreness or lack thereof as a reason to move on. I would move on to level 2 when I can completely master every exercise on Level 1, am bored with level 1, and am ready for a challenge. I've done the 30DS before (before I got pregnant) and I love Level 2. It was hard for me so I kept doing it because there…

Yep, I agree with quite a few of the posters here and after the 2nd page, I stopped reading the responses. Yes, you're being overly sensitive. If their lack of connection with you bothers you then delete them. That is what I would do. :) I have no idea if the other lady is competing with you, but if she is...that's cool!…

I also like to make a healthy stir fry and serve it over brown rice, too. When I'm not cooking for hubby, I like to cook rotel tomatoes in olive oil and get it really crispy and put it over brown rice. Some people have better luck with brown rice in the oven (takes a lot longer) or in a rice cooker (longer than the stove,…

Rotel tomatoes with green chilies! I am actually making a Brown Spanish rice dish tomorrow night with pork tenderloin and grilled rosemary balsamic veggies :) If you want the recipe(s), send me a message and I will send it over!

Yep, pay attention to serving sizes and actually measure it out. Get a scale for measuring meats. After a while (for some it's a long while), you are able to really, honestly know what a true portion measurement is and won't have to measure forever. Well, some people do. Good luck!

Oops! Just saw your thread about messaging you my stats. I just did!

aww...no match for me yet. Okay, I'll keep checking back.

My weigh in day is on Thursdays so I will check back in and let you know...I refuse to weigh myself until it has been a week and I started 1/5. :)

By the way...your stats/goal are really close to mine! I'm starting at 188 (after having my baby) and I'd like to get to 180 by Feb 1. My finishing goal is 140, too!

Yep! The smaller you get, it is often harder to lose the weight. Then people tend to get frustrated that the weight isn't coming off as fast or as well as it did before. People often hit a stall. It often just takes a little bit of tweaking in regards to your calorie/carbs/proteins/etc and varying your exercise routine.…

How neat! I was reading another post where a lady was looking for people who want to lose the same amount of weight as her and I was thinking how nice it would be to have someone around my size, age, same goals... I'm Amanda from Texas. I'll be 26 this year. I'm 5'3. I have a husband and a 5 month old daughter. I…

Wow great job! I know it's important to track/measure other things besides weight, but I can't seem to bring myself to take my measurements yet, lol

Yes! Your muscles do retain water when starting to do strenuous exercises or lifting. It's important to alternate the days that you do upper and lower body workouts to give those muscles a day to relax. As your body adjusts to the lifting, you won't see as much water retention/weight "gain".

My starting weight before Christmas was 184. AFTER Christmas: 188 :( So starting: 188 Goal Weight: 140 I know my body and am pretty sure I will not lose 10 lbs by February 1st so my goal is 8 lbs. So 180 by Feb 1st!

Me! I'd love to talk to some women in Texas, too! I'm also on a Mommy Board and have "met" some awesome women there, too. So feel free to add me! :)

The meal planning part is the hard part! We do our shopping once a week on Sundays and we end up doing a lot of impulse buying or finding "easy" stuff OR the same ole same ole. :/ I find lots of recipes that I want to try and then I either forget the ingredients or "bookmark" the recipe somewhere and then never even try…

I'm in! I used MyFitnessPal before I got pregnant and was actively losing weight when we decided to try and get pregnant. Luckily, I only gained 6 lbs while pregnant and I've lost that (but I also had gestational diabetes) and now I want to lose my PRE-BABY weight! 10 lbs by Feb 1st is probably a little much for me (I know…
