  • Yes I have also noticed this. My weight jumps up for no apparent reason, but I stick with fasting and it comes back down as though it never happened.
  • Yes, I turn on Bluetooth, go to the Fitbit app and it updates straight away, then I just turn off Bluetooth again. It takes maybe 20 secs in total. I used to have a Fitbit Ultra that only updated at my PC, I really like being able to update when I'm out and about with my Fitbit One.
  • A Ftibit is like a pedometer+, it records your steps like a pedometer, but also staircases climbed, it knows how fast you are going so it can also tell you your activity level for the day. It motivated me to walk to the end of the street, in the dark, to get those 10,000 steps in for the day. Or run up and down my stair to…
  • I have a Nexus 4, but was un-aware of this issue. That maybe because of the way I use my phone. When I want to synch my Fitbit I turn on my Blue tooth first, synch it and then turn it off. Also I just checked, there is an option in the app to turn off background synching, I guess this would be all day synching it you left…
  • I love my Fitbit ONE. Can't help you with the Fitbit scales though, as I've never used it.
  • I ride occasionally to work, I'd like to do it more but as it takes an hour (22kms) each way I don't always make the effort to fit it in. Especially as the days get shorter. I ride through some suburban back streets for about 5kms, to get onto a bike way that then takes me all the way into the city. The bike way is very…
  • My calories for the day are similar to yours because I'm not interested in doing formal gym style exercise. Instead I got a Fitbit to help me. All the movement you do walking around campus and at your job add up. A Fitbit or something similar might help you release that you burn more calories in a day than you realise. My…
  • I just started on the 1500 cals option this week. I'm a bit hunger in the afternoon, so I just drink a couple of glasses of water. I'm fine after dinner. All the food is listed here, so I still track everything I eat. I figure if I'm hunger and I have the spare cals, I'll just eat something and track it to. I have careful…
  • Hi, I've been doing the Lite N Easy Breakfast and Lunches for 4 weeks. I make a healthy dinner for my whole family. I didn't want to be eating too differently to everyone else as it gets to hard to make dinner for hubby and 3 children and then eat something else. This strategy is working really well for me. I feel like I'm…
  • I'm on level 1 day4. Not as sore today, sleeping like a log thou, haha :-) I find the skipping the worst part, really hurts the front of my calfs, if it gets to much I match it out. I can't wait to see the results.
  • My youngest child is 9 and in my experience stretch marks faid but they don't go away. Sorry.
  • I bought a different brand 'slim pasta' from my local Foodland supermarket (Australia). Looks, sounds and tastes just like what you described.
  • Yes, I'm in Adelaide
  • I've had mine for 2 weeks and I really like it. It makes me more aware of how active I have been through out the day. If I haven't go to my 10,000 steps by the time I've finished dinner it really motivates me to go for a walk. I also love the way you can't accidentally tap it and reset the number of steps for the day back…

  • Like everyone else I strain and rinse any beans or lentils before using them. I'm more interested in avoiding the beans that have added sugar, even the 'plan' beans often have sugar in the ingredients list.

  • Hi, I sent a team request too. I'm not sure how I'll go updating 2 web sites but I'll give it a good. The menu plans could be interesting.
  • Hi, I know what you mean. Some days I have my lunch and I'm full but my mouth wants something sweet. I generally do 1 of 2 things. I either go for a quick 5-10min walk, have a glass of water and find something to distract me or I just acknowledge I'm not hungry but I'm going to have a piece of chocolate anyway. I only have…
  • I'm on the 1200 cals/day, but every day I either go to the gym, walk the dog or both so I often have more like 1500-1600 cals to use. I'm not sure I could stick to only eating 1200 cals for that long.

  • Hi, Happy New Year. I've been watching my calories for the past 3 weeks but only got back into slow carb. eating this week and finally I got some results in the right direction. So my goal for 2012is to stick with the slow carb. diet until I am at my goal - a size 12 Australian. I think that is a size 8-10 in the US. What…
  • Thanks for the ideas. Its summer here too (Aust) so your right I should go for more salads. I'm not a big fan of cottage cheese but I'm going to add some herbs and chicken to it and give mjbrenner's idea a go.
