Oh, I am IN on this! :D
-
I'm in - I can use the extra exercise after a day like today! :D
-
Congratulations!! That's really inspiring news
-
Congratulations - you look like you feel fabulous :)
-
That is fabulous. Congratulations! ^_____^

@sutehi Hey, speaking of Boy hiding things, did you ask him about those Cherry Cokes? :D

My own experience, limited though it is, is that if you take a few days off, it's that much harder to get back into the groove. On vacation, do different exercises - you don't have to use the hotel gym, but maybe take the opportunity to swim, and do a lot more walking than normal. But definitely keep up your diaries -…

Soft drinks, and cola in particular. There is no substitute; I can't have diet drinks as the aspartame triggers migraines. It's not easy to give it up

Eat your exercise calories--if you end up with a net calorie intake that's too low, your body will go into conservation mode and you won't lose. Also keep an eye on where your calories are coming from (ratio of protein:fat:carbs) and perhaps change up your exercise routine - the body gets used to repeated movement and it…

Welcome to MFP :) You'll find it a fabulous and supportive environment! Best of luck in your quest!!

Call it an "indulgence" rather than a "cheat", particularly because you're doing it as a birthday celebration, and "cheat" is such a negative word. Keep it as moderate as you can, know you'll have to work extra hard to burn it all off, and enjoy :)

The good thing is that in a small town, you're more likely to be able to walk places - you can get to know the area (and maybe some people) while getting exercise at the same time. You'll never lack for motivation and support here; everyone's so positive and helpful!

Agreed with kennedar and hambitsgirl - just smile nicely and say thank you. Starvation is never a good means of losing weight! Keep doing what you're doing!
-
I would say tell people thanks for their concern, period; if they ask, tell them that yes, you intend to continue losing in a healthy fashion. If they persist, stop them cold and tell them that it's none of their business. Especially co-workers have no reason to tell you to stop losing weight; they don't know you, your…

I am with you! At the end of my work day I find it hard to get motivated to exercise (exercising in the morning isn't optional due to time constraints), and it's a comfy habit to sit down and watch TV/play games. I've been compromising, though - I still "play" with the Wii; doing "Just Dance" is my cardio for the day. I…

I guess I would have to say my boobs; though I'm turning forty in a couple of months, they're still pretty high and perky (of course I've never had kids!!).
-
I don't drive and the gym is quite a distance from my home. Besides my evening walks (which I started initially to take down my BP), I have fun with my Wii - "Just Dance" is hilarious and will get you schvitzing in no time! :) You came to the right place for support!
-
Just sent you a friend request :)

At worst, I can gain up to 10lbs of water weight during TOM :( If I'm drinking lots of water, maybe only 2-5 lbs, and it goes away after a couple of days.
-
I don't care much for chocolate either! So you're not alone  Best of luck for October! I usually go for lunch every other week with my sister-in-law and niece, which is usually my junk-food treat to myself; I'll give up not the lunch dates but the junk, and will have healthy lunches with them instead :)

I think most of us would!!

It doesn't win - now you know that the burger wasn't worth it, and the next time you have a craving you'll be able to say, Heck Naw! One cheeseburger isn't worth beating yourself up over, either! Chalk it up to a learning experience and keep moving forward :)
-
Remind yourself of what you looked like before - that though you're not yet happy with how you look "on camera" (or in the mirror), you have come far and you are not yet finished. You're a beautiful work in progress! I duck cameras routinely because I don't like being reminded of how fat I am. But I want to be able to have…

I'm a big fan of lean red meat :)

My biggest downfall is that I dislike cooking! I'm a grazer as well, and need to have good snacks around and accessible or I'll balloon up again. When I'm craving crunchy stuff, almonds are my friends! I prefer them roasted rather than raw, and get them unsalted (even though I LOVE them salted). I also keep a few…

You might ask them to substitute veggies for your rice :)

I have sports bras that actually have underwires in them and separate cups - and they provide all the support I need. I'm a C-cup, if that helps :) I think they're from Warner's, or maybe WonderBra.

Hm - if it's helping with the iron, I might just have to try it :) Thanks for sharing!!

I have had migraines since I was a child (as young as 3-4 years old). To a certain extent I can deal with them without letting them interfere with my routine, but every decade as my hormones change my migraines change. They were super-frequent and extremely debilitating during my early 30s but now as I'm getting close to…

You've already lost 35 lbs - that's fantastic! Don't let a "hiccup" along the way derail you completely - you've done so well for yourself already. Don't despair or be angry at yourself; everyone trips now and again. Just pick yourself up and resume your workout schedule, and the bit you've gained back will be gone again.…
