  • I have a Polar HRM and I love it. Have had it for about 3 or 4 years now.
  • Sent you all friend requests. :)
  • Count me in, too! I am 20 lbs away from my goal and getting the scales to go down is getting harder the closer I get to goal. OH, and a question, how do I find posts that I have replied to?
  • OH and one more thing, try adding some running in on the treadmill and that should boost the calories burned. Also, there are some workout dvd's for the treadmill so that may help. I have read about them but haven't tried it yet.
  • The more you weigh, the more calories you burn for that same exercise. I have noticed, for myself, that when I wear my HRM and compare the calories burned on it to what MFP or even my treadmill show I burn, that my HRM (which is the more accurate one) shows less calories so it could be that the people you see are using a…
  • I suffered through a 9 wk plateau. First and most importantly, do NOT give up! I finally broke mine and I think what helped was changing my exercise. Usually I get all of mine in from walking and/or running. But I got the Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred and started losing the 2nd week with it. Lost each week that I was…
  • I think my prob is that I eat back to many - have not lost any weight in about 3 weeks now and I'm wondering if that is why.
  • I am not really sure about losing the flabby part, I would think with working out you would tone and lose some of it anyway. I know you will lose from your face. I was a 16 and now a 10/12 - have lost 31 lbs - and I can tell a big diff in my face. Legs aren't flabby but my stomach and the under part of my arms (not sure…
  • feel free to add me, too
  • Try adding more protein. I have that same hungry issue when I eat too many carbs. I'm not a big meat eater (or wasn't before) but I have found that when I eat protein w/my meals that I can go a longer period of time before eating again.,
  • Right now I am doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I got the dvd from Netflix. I have done a couple others -- a bootcamp (can't remember which one) on instant. And a couple Latin Dance ones. So far the bootcamp and the Shred are my faves.
  • Are you drinking enough water? Are your calories consumed mostly from healthy food? Those two things cause issues for me. Also, is the bootcamp a new workout? Could it be added muscle is causing the scales not to drop? Are you taking your measurements? You may be losing inches but not weight.
  • I personally have never been good at sticking to a "diet". I go more w/trying to make it a "lifestyle change". I eat more along the lines of that old food pyramid. I weight and measure the foods and then try to make a point of eating those foods each day. When I want "junk" I make sure I have only one serving of it. Also…
  • Good morning, Karen! I used it for the same thing. I also go to WW but hit a 9 wk plateau and tried everything I was told at WW but nothing broke it. This site and one week of working out with Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and I broke the plateau. I highly recommend the Shred dvd -- it's just a 20 min WO but it will do…

  • Good luck! You can do it!!! Lots of us here to listen and try to help when/if needed! I do WW along w/this site -- started using this site when I hit a 9 week plateau at Weight Watchers. I love cooking, trying new recipes & find that is a big help -- I quickly get tired of the "diet" foods (and dieting itself) so this time…
  • Hi! I'm a runner, too. Any of you looking to start running, the "Couch to 5K" is an good training program. Puts you on an easy schedule to start running. It's what I used to start -- and a couple years later wen I quit running, I used it again to get started back.
  • I got mine through Netflix
