  • I was pleasantly surprised at our first grocery bill. I have a family of 6. We buy things for breakfast, luch, dinner and 2-3 snacks a day. We are really trying not to buy processed foods. We buy lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Our grocery bill was at least $150/week. Now it is rarely $100 :smile:

  • Thanks. I was just trying to watch my sugar because I was a huge soda drinker and chocolate eater and I definately do not want to consume too much again. My family has a history of diabetes and I just wanted to keep my eye on it. I have just been using the recommended amounts as my guidelines.

  • So any suggestions on making sure you get at least 1200 calories? I am having trouble eating the calories I need. I fell like I'm eating all day long now that I'm dieting LOL
  • From what I have read if you do not consume what your body needs to survive it will think you are fasting or starving therefore it will start storing fat for your body to live off of. That is the exact opposite of what you want if you are trying to lose weight. I too am struggling to get my 1200 minimum calories.
