We were poor. When we did get food, I would horde it, for fear of not having it. I still do that (it is a cycle I am working very hard to break, and am doing VERY well...)

Same here... 12 years and counting for us. I wouldn't change a thing...

I have tried these, but I just cannot get past the nasty, bitter taste from the greek yogurt. I know it is supposed to be the end all, be all of yogury, but I hate it!! What if I made this with my plain old light vanilla yogurt and just upped my oatmeal a bit to combat the extra liquid from my yogurt compared to the greek?

3 weeks ago, I sprained my knee, which led to a diagnosis of Sever Degenerative Arthritis. I have been ok'd to bike and do core work, and that's fine, but I was walking an hour every morning. Now I get on "the machine of death" and go go go until I can go no longer.. and days like yesterday where I did a little extra... I…

it's not so much that muscle "weighs" more.. because a pound of fat and a pound of muscle both weigh a pound... the difference is that a pound of fat takes up 'TTTTHHHHIIIIISSSSSS' much space and a pound of muscle takes up 'THIS' much space... see the difference??

It's astounding... Time is fleeting. Madness takes its toll

I would like to join as well! My goal for July4 is to be down 28lbs. I am already at 22, and I know it's a small goal, but I think it's doable! Thanks for the info.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, a 2am bowl of cream of wheat was my lifesaver. It filled me, was good for me (and her) and it seemed to be the only thing that I didn't lose due to morning sickness.

BUMP!

This was to be my advise.. I saw changes on the tape measure before I saw any changes on the scale.

This looks wonderful! Thanks for the recipe.

I couldn't agree with you more!!

Have you tried a recumbent stationary bike? You aren't "perched" up high like on a regular bike... it may help. That way you can still be active, but not in danger!
-
I cannot answer your question, but I am interested in someone else's opinion as well. I sprained my knee 8 days ago, and have been diagnosed with severe degenerative arthritis in the knee. I cannot run, but I LOVE to walk, and right now, that's out. I am using a recumbent Stationary bike to keep getting in some physical…

Opps the above post was meant to be a response to ediesmommy...and I forgot to put her name there! That was for you ediesmommy Kat Thanks!! I'm adjusting, but still keeping my eating under control. I never gave much thought to what I ate (before mfp), now I check out everything!! Thanks for the encouragement... I CAN do…

you aren't crazy. Insidde everyone of us is that other person.. you know the one.. who tells you that you aren't good enough or that you don't belong... You hold your head high. You have earned that little pile of clothes. And that person inside of you is a big fat liar!! Everyone you know can tell you this until they are…

I've found that just walking has helped my TOM be shorter and less intense...

I will be 40 in 4 days... I have also recently sprained my knee (7 days ago) and I have been diagnosed with severe degenerative arthritis in that knee. It's kind of a blow to me... I started here on mfp at the beginning of May, and after my first week and a half of walking, I'd been able to get up to walking an hour…

I would go with what you are eating. If you are eating 1 cup popped, then count it as 15. I'm thinking that somewhere along the line, they got their numbers mixed up and are off...
-
I'd like some info too.... I have CRAZY bat wind arms, and in addition to getting rid of them, I need to gain some upper body strength!

Well, I have a lot more than 69lbs to lose, but you are more than welcome to friend me on here. I give and expect honest critique. Just put a little note in the msg line!

Has anyone tried the WEN products? I don't have an abundance of extra $ so I'm wondering of it's worth the cost. My hair is now almost to my shoulder blades, and my goal is waist length.

I love it mixed with fresh necatrines, and I love it on toast with a little bit of jelly. My son loves it that way too.
