Feel free to add me! I lost 20 lbs the summer before grad school, and it felt great! I'm now in my 3rd year, and I gained back 16 of it (OMG...SO much stress). Now in the last 47 days, I have lost 11 of that 16, and I'll lose 8 more, if I can! :)

Why not give it a go?

Every day. There are SO many fluctuations - depending on what I've eaten, whether I've worked out, if I'm on my period - I want to be able to know when it's gone up and down. Any one day that I just happen to weigh myself may be entirely inaccurate. Always first thing in the morning, always nekkid ;)

Cake and baked goods Wine and whiskey Cheese and carbs in any combination (pizza, au gratin, cheese & crackers, etc) Sweet potato fries with aioli (Did I mention wine and whiskey?)

Oh man I remember when I first started running! I wasn't used to using those muscles...and I got so much muscle pain, and thought it would always last...I kept improving, so I kept pushing myself, which meant that I often had sore muscles once every couple weeks for the first 4-5 months. Then it got better and better - now…

YUM! Grilled portobello mushrooms?

I like sprinkling nutritional yeast on mine as well!

Absolutely the same. Oddly, the couple days before I begin my moon I usually have a smaller appetite than ever, and I am fine cutting an extra 200-300. Then I just want to either, a) melt into a puddle of self-loathing and sadness, or, b) rage at the missing sock by throwing the other one across the room angrily and…

Girl - you are never going to have spindly sticks. You know how people say "dress for your body shape." I think when you're as trim and fit as you are, you have to work out for your shape, and not try to squish it into something that is not you. Your thighs are hot. My man LOVES my big thighs - which are way larger than…

No - I don't see the point. Sugar is added to SO MANY THINGS, or appear as just naturally-occuring saccharines, that it's just a torturous process. However - I have reduced seriously my intake of refined sugars! I think that we get used to (and someone "immune" to) heavy amounts of sugars. Sometimes, after holidays and…

God, who am I kidding. I could sit and eat plain white sugar by the spoonful, back in the day.

I agree with folks here saying "it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change." That, for me, is spot-on. I have weaned myself off of heavy sugars - now things like doughnuts actually don't appeal to me...which is pretty awesome, seeing as I came from being a 290lb teenager who could sit and eat icing with a spoon! I think that…

Hey! I suffer from the same thing, a bit. But I am actually finding that doing pilates-like stuff on a mat at home with some youtube videos is really changing things! I do 3 times a week on the mat, 2-3 times a week cardio. It's a nice pace for me...and sustainable. You should find your own sustainable pace, and not…

Feel free to add me, too! I am active these days, and will be for the next couple of months until I reach my 15lb loss goal. :)

I'm here often! I'll friend you :)

I was just searching around for calorie content in those veggie chips. They have the same calorie content as potato chips, unfortunately! Hooray for Berkeley Bowl - but we can't fool ourselves ;)

OK here is my method: I shared this with a few people and it's worked for them, so I would highly recommend it! The more sugar we eat, the more we want. Your taste buds get used to it - de-sensitized. I used to have a sweet tooth bigger than Texas. I mean I could sit and eat half a jar of frosting by the spoonful, without…

Oh wow! I'm 5'10" and my long-term bf is 6'7" (just like your parents) I wonder if we'll have 6'2" daughters too :)

Yeah MyFitnessPal's calorie trackers are totally messed up - like WAY over estimate anything that would ever make sense. I usually take 2/3 or a half of what it says. Besides, calorie burns are always just guesstimates anyway. Best is to push hard, but not over-do it, and push long (depending on what your aim is - losing…
