You aren’t a failure – you were unwell and you fell off the wagon. That does not mean you failed, it means you have stalled on your way to success. Big difference. The only time you can fail is when you give up. Getting back to the gym is probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do – but I promise you, the hardest…

Welcome welcome! Congratulations on making such a great step toward health and happiness. I look forward to seeing your amazing accomplishments =)

Oh hunnie =( Firstly, congratulations on your amazing loss – you are doing so well. Let me just say – we are our own worst critics. We never notice the weight loss as fast as everyone else, because we see ourselves every day. Just remember that you have lost a wonderful amount and you will reach your goal before you know…

Love love love skinny cow!! Only problem is it’s so delicious the BF steals them!

Welcome =) and congrats on the great work so far!

Oh hunnie =( I think we’ve all felt like this at some point – I know I do often! Best solution? Go shopping and find a bathing suit that you feel comfortable in – something flattering that covers the bits you aren’t happy with! The worst thing you can do is crash diet, but get a much exercise in as you can, it will make…

Great job sweetie!! Keep it up!

Amazing, just AMAZING! Congratulations on your success – you are truly an inspiration. Keep up the spectacular work!

Congratulations on taking the first step to the amazing, fit, healthy life you deserve. Its 10% motivation and 90% dedication until it becomes habit, and then you don’t even think twice about doing your daily workout. Does your gym offer any classes? I found that was the best way to really get myself fit and over those…

Well done sweetie! Great work – and a much deserved compliment!

Welcome and good luck!! We’re all here to help and support – hope you truly enjoy your journey!

Gah! I am currently listening to the exact same thing… and when she isn’t on personal calls she is talking about her work outs and how many calories are in a skinny flat white, and shopping. Has anyone seen that episode of the Simpsons with the Malibu Stacy doll that you pull the cord on and it says “lets go shopping” –…

Welcome welcome, from dreary and overcast Sydney! I found MFP on my iPhone too! Got to love it!

Great guide. Thanks!

So in! Four days late but better late than never! My goal is to lose a clean 5kg by 1 December and to do a minimum of 4 workouts every week. Uni lectures start back up this week and I work full time and study at night so I’m going to set a realistic work out goal so I don’t fall flat on my face before I even start and lose…

!! I don’t see the point of being thin with ANAL LEAKAGE!

The only thing I’ve found that works for me is the trusty old heat method. Hot water bottle / heat packs are my best friend at that time of the month!

Im now going in search of tofu shirataki noodles! They sound amazing!

Amen sister! I’m sick of getting the “you’re crazy” looks or people telling me I don’t need to lose weight. I don’t want to be stick thin – I want to be comfortable. There are a million more important things in life to spend my time thinking about, I don’t want to have to worry about how I’m going to look in a pair of…

Congratulations on the loss! Any loss of weight is better than a gain, that’s what I say. You need to take into account the fact that you are exercising, and quite possibly converting fat into muscle, which weighs more. Try taking measurements if you aren’t seeing any movement on the scale, and keep up the amazing work!…

As apposed to thinking “I’m thinner”, think “I’m healthier”. I think you will find there are a lot more positives around being healthy than there are in relation to thinness, because as we all know, skinny does not equate to healthy. Think of all the new things you can do with your new healthy, fit body. Set goals, where…

Oh, that ever elusive motivation! That’s the thing that makes us take the first step, but only habit can make us continue, and it’s the time between motivation and habit that is the killer! Just push through sweetie, and every time you are feeling down or unmotivated jump on here. It will take a few weeks for your exercise…

Its always a bit tricky to begin with, but you will catch on! Its so much fun and a great workout. Keep with it!

I’m a D and wouldn’t go near a gym without double wrapping the girls! Two sports bra’s always works for me.

Agreed – and I think it is also important to appreciate that it can be JUST as difficult for someone to lost ten pounds as it is for the person looking to lose 50. Weight loss, and the emotional reasons and journey that go along with it is a very personal thing.

My rule is 80/20. Be the best you can be 80% of the time and cut yourself a bit of slack the rest of the time. Everything in moderation and whatnot! Just enjoy your night and drink lots of water so you are able to get up and work off that hangover :drinker:

Hahaha. Exactly what I was going to say!

The only tattoo of mine (and I have four) that seems to have had any change due to ups and downs in weight has been the one across the front of my hip. It has some quite intricate writing, and a couple of the loops look a bit different to when I got it but that could also be put down to the natural aging of the tattoo. As…

Exercise exercise exercise! I consider any workouts I do a way to “earn” extra calories so I don’t have to go crazy trying to stick to 1200. The hardest part about starting an exercise routine is just that, starting! For the first couple of weeks you will have to force yourself, it will be an almost physical battle…

Your body will adjust in time – but the more you pee the better it is for you! Flush out toxins!
