  • Hard to still find an active juicing forum, isn't it? Seems people jumped on the bandwagon when the film came out, then eventually disappeared.
  • The caloric limit is actually closer to 800 calories or so. The reason this is done, is because the fat the HCG hormone is causing you to burn is replacing some of the normal intake calories you would eat. And actually, you don't really feel super hungry throughout the program. For when you finish, they actually do offer a…
  • I did it and lost 35 lbs. The only thing I've noticed (at least for myself), is that once you stop doing it you REALLY have to keep eating a healthy diet and exercising. Otherwise it's easy to gain it back.
  • Cucumber and tomato salad with some fresh herbs and balsamic vinaigrette.
  • Hi cait0902, I hit rock bottom a few years ago as I looked at myself in the mirror. I was looking at a picture of myself from a scrapbook from my teenage years, and then noticing how much DIFFERENT I looked in the mirror. My face was really round, and my arms stuck out because they were resting on my fat rolls from my…
  • Hey guys, Use this website for an estimate. When you go into your exercises, you can create your own using the calorie estimates from the other website and name it for each individual workout. Then when you want to add it, it's in your own personal database for regular usage. You may also want to check us out, we have a…
  • I LOVE the regular Tabasco. It adds a nice heat WITHOUT messing with the flavor of my food!
  • I would be concerned as to what they replace it with to get the 'flavor' and 'consistency' of peanut butter without real peanut butter. Flavored water? Funky Chemicals? Ok, so I checked their site and it looks kinda interesting, though maybe not as a replacement all the time. Basically they use water, concentrated flavor…
  • I literally just started P90X last night, Day One. I was expecting it to kick my butt seriously, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I made sure to follow what Tony said on pacing myself so I could complete the full video circuit. Although I was too pooped to do much of the Ab program afterwards. If any of you want to…
  • I've had mine for about four years now, and haven't had any problems with it at all. At least, none that I'm aware of. I do tend to gain weight easily (before I joined MFP, I would look at food and gain weight, but then again I was a horrible fast/junk food junkie). Since I've joined MFP though, I've logged my food and…
  • It's so easy to beat yourself up, but please try to remember that if you think positively and reward yourself for little successes, it makes a huge difference. Try not to focus on the scale so much right now. but do as steph124ny suggests--start now and keep moving forward! Add me if you'd like another support buddy!
  • That's totally rockin'! I know you are super excited, as every little milestone truly makes a difference! Keep pushing yourself to do even better! :)
  • I make iced tea at home, and sweeten it with Splenda. Definitely tastes better than plain water, plus it has good antioxidants in it if you drink green tea. I will often bring a container of it to work with me as well, so I set goals of after every two glasses of water that I have, I get to drink a glass of tea!
  • I have a three year old, and sometimes I get great exercise just playing chase with him! LOL Do you have a DVR for your local TV which you can use to record some workout vids? We have Brighthouse where I live, and there are some freebies (Free On Demand) for all sorts of fitness stuff, I even found these old videos from…
  • That. Is. AMAZING! You look freaking awesome in your progress from the first picture! Way to go!
  • This is really quite good Ruby! I have a husband who eats really crappy with lots of fast food/junk food, but he is supportive of my efforts to lose weight. I find that it's easier to let him eat the way he wants (he's also Cajun, which doesn't help), although sometimes I express to him that I worry about his eating habits…
  • Thanks, I appreciate it! Every little bit helps. :)
  • I try to divide my food up throughout the day more. I will have a mid afternoon snack, dinner, and then a snack a couple of hours after dinner. And my snacks are usually a dried fruit/nut/dark chocolate mixture (small amount is only 150 calories), and then also a Skinny Cow ice cream bar (only 140 calories). I have a bit…
  • I do agree that he seems to always have a new 'cure all' pill that he is constantly hocking. If we were to take everything he suggests, we'd be on 40 supplements! However, I do applaud that he is willing to give a forum on alternative medicines, as there are many options out there--not just one thing works all the time for…
  • I recently started the Shaun T's 15 minute workout (from Doctor Oz website), which has a lot of jumping--and the same thing happened to me! I was gimping because my calf muscles were so painful (and that's weird because I used to play soccer and have big calves anyway). What I did was to keep stretching the muscles each…
