Thanks for getting back. Your story is really inspiring because it's frill-free and you're so positive. You're looking absolutely fantastic! I think you're right to keep weighing and measuring to stay on top of things. They say the first year or so post weight loss is critical for keeping it off. I've just ordered my…

Hi Luckydays27! It's been a year since you first posted your review, although I've only just come across it. I'm thinking about getting a Fitbit and this whole thread has helped me make up my mind. Your updates have been really motivating, too. Down to earth, practical and inspiring! So how are things going 12 months on?…

Agree. That definitely sounds like doctor territory. Take care

Hi Stuart, thanks for sharing. You can certainly add me as a friend for mutual support. We're all in the same boat and I think knowing that other people are / have been going through the same stuff really helps.

Work has taken over my life this week and next week, so I'm dropping out of the challenge. My fault for not dealing with it sooner, and that's the real challenge for me, procrastinating and not getting things done on time. I did have 2 good weeks though, and August is just round the corner, ready for the next challenge!

Didn't quite make my target because I didn't get myself organised midweek but I'm very pleased with myself anyway. Roll on Week 3! I want to make it to at least 60 min a day with one day off. Week # 2 -- July 9 -- Goal 350 minutes: Mon: 75 min walking & swimming Tue: Wed: Thur: 60 min stretching & walking Fri: 85 min…

I get it and it's usually because I'm eating for emotional reasons, or when I haven't had enough sleep or both! Too little sleep is the worst. Or I get it when I've had a carb-heavy meal, which takes less time to digest.

My old ankle sprain has been threatening to flare up badly. Fingers crossed... Week # 2 -- July 9 -- Goal 350 minutes: Mon: 75 min walking & swimming Tue: Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total / min left: 350 / 275

It's really interesting to see what everyone's doing! Also inspiration for when I need it. Week # 1 -- July 2nd -- Goal 250 minutes: Mon: Tue: Wed: Thur: 60 min walking Fri: 75 min walking Sat: 45 walking Sun: 50 low-impact strength & cardio Total / min left: 230 / 20

You only need to be motivated for one day: today! Actually, I have "cycles of motivation", too. I'm just starting back after losing track for a couple of weeks. One thing I've learned to do is to stop being hard on myself, or depressed about it when it does happen, because that only makes things worse and I end up eating…

If you're concerned that you sound mean, you should probably first acknowledge that you're afraid of saying what you really feel/being who you really are. That's the first step, in my opinion. After that you'll probably know for yourself what the right thing to do is.

I'm so pleased for you! There are usually much deeper issues when we overeat or stop taking care of ourselves, so I think it's important when someone shares their experience. Thanks and keep it up!

Ok. Thanks to you all. I get the motivational thing, just never thought to apply it. but I've decided now to focus on my short-term goal of 10 kg. It makes sense, I suppose, as I have to get past 10 anyway if I want to reach 45 kg !!! Thanks again!

If you've really lost 7.4 lb in just three weeks I'd say you are losing pretty fast, especially considering your weight. The recommended rate is 1 to 2 lb per week and you're over that. As far as where you're losing fat from, you can't really make that happen by deciding it beforehand. It's typical for women to lose from…

Definitely talk to your doc. I get them in the chest area when I've eaten too much of (or too often) foods my body takes longer to process like cheese, chocolate and alcohol.

I'm using the Fitness Blender channel on YouTube for a gentle start. Loads and loads of stuff on there and on their website: http://www.fitnessblender.com/

Dreeaaad to think! I know I could sometimes get through 400g of chocolate biscuits (or similar) in one sitting, two at most, and that was a few times a week. That amounts to just a little under my BMR and was just a "snack". So I'd say well over 3000 nearer 4000.

Truly hot and amazing! Thank you for posting and inspiring!

HI! I've never understood clothes sizes. I'm taller than you (only just: 5' 7"), weigh slightly less than you (have gone from 251 to 244) but am a size 26-28 trousers and skirts! Anyway, I'm also from the UK, but currently in Italy. Welcome and well done so far!

You must be so so so so proud of yourself! Thanks for posting these inspiring pics. Keep it up!

You can start by not being disappointed with what you're doing! If you're hard on yourself, you'll find it hard to get motivated. One of the very reasons I piled on the weight was because I was down on myself for the few that I'd put on. You've already made a good start by signing up! I've been on for about a month now,…

Welcome back! Feel free to add me! I'm also looking to give and receive support.

Same as you. Been around about a month now, just completing my food diary mainly, which surprisingly has been enough to lose 7 lbs so far, but I know I'll have to start doing more than that pretty soon if I don't want to slip back. Feel free to add me for motivation etc. Same goes for anyone else!
