Happy Retirement, Snoozie! (I chose this one because of the theatre and walks, and I'm pretending the ball is a pickleball!) I hope you have a wonderful adventure!

This was posted on my slimming group. I like flow charts and it made me smile! Although I think in our case it's sometimes a case of just sticking to it rather than changing things.

I hope you have nice time on your trip, Suzy. It's good that your mother in law is having good care. Thanks for the congratulations! This is only the maintenance weight I have been at on and off for the past few years, so nothing new, but it's good to get back to it and maybe we need to celebrate the small things! Thanks…

Thanks for posting all the detail of the TV programme, Snoozie. I have a feeling I've watched it. I love programmes like that! I definitely watched one with the string test. I always score fine on that one (it's basically a test of whether your waist measurement is less than half your height) because I have an hourglass…

Well done on getting your exercise programme organised, Snoozie! I know you'd been talking about specifically doing strength training. The seniors centre sounds good value. I wish we had something similar here! My gym is £12.99 a month which really isn't too bad if you go to a lot of classes, but of course sometimes I'm…

Milove, congratulations on your son's wedding! You look stunning, and that dress is beautiful. I'm sorry you were upset when trying it on, and you had to go through such extremes with diet - it's a shame that they didn't have it in a slightly larger size and it would have been fine ... but the end result is absolutely…

Congratulations on your check-up, Snoozie! And nice that your doctor appreciates your work on the weight! How frustrating that the scale isn't moving now. I know we've talked before about set points ... I also think there's something about going into new lows - my body seems to be very reluctant to edge downwards below…

Oh, Suzy, I know you haven't said anything, but I'm very pleased for you and your daughter and wishing her well! It's lovely that you are going to the appointment with her! I haven't owned an air fryer, but have come across them and I know people swear by them. I'm with you on the crockpot, Snooozie - I have a small slow…

I hope the weather's good for you, Suzy. We have had a bit of rain, but mostly hot and humid. It does make me feel lazy! And I haven't felt like exercising. I have a gym class booked tomorrow after work, debating whether to cancel as I just keep feeling the gym is too hard for me. But I need to commit to something else if…

I'm not surprised your weight is up with so much going on, and of course you are grieving and I feel that affects our bodies in strange ways sometimes. I'm glad you managed to have a good time with friends, and hope you're getting some "me" time now. Well done on making that commitment and good luck with the weight loss!…

Well done on the hike, Suzy! Looks like an amazing place. Good luck with the eating. I'm trying to keep mine under control too - I can't believe it's still so hard. There's never a stop point. But needs must, and my knees are begging me - lol! Seeing you out there hiking really inspires me!

Happy belated birthdays, girls! I'm glad you have both been having a good time! Sometimes I feel we don't do enough to celebrate our own birthdays, etc., as we get older. I know I don't. It should be that there's more to celebrate the older we get - lol! It's great that you've got that goal, Suzy. I maybe need to do that…

It has been hot here too. I think we might have hit 30C or maybe 29. Anything in the 20s is really hot for me! Too hot to exercise beyond gentle walking. Supposedly the humidity makes it less bearable. Maybe it's the same in Canada? Full admiration for you exercising outdoors in that sort of heat, Snoozie!

Welcome back, Carol! That's fantastic news about your retiermement and travel plans! I'm officially retired this year, but went back to work part-time as I needed the money, sadly, but even with working it feels wonderful to have a secure pension. My friends who are fully retired seem to be very busy and happy (all but…

Well done on resetting your weight. And on not gaining. I hope the "day" comes soon. We are all people who have successfully lost weight and can do it again! (I tell myself - lol!). Slimming World is going OK. I do seem to find the the fact that I am paying for it and will have to go to a group is motivating. I'm being…

Beautiful! It looks like Capri. I'm envious!

I'm giving it a go at the moment, and kind of agree with your comments, @Aalps, except that like @jubo10, I don't like to weigh and measure and count calories all the time, so I dip in and out of it. I don't really agree that any diet plan works if stuck to @ninerbuff. With some it's quite possible to create a calorie…

Yes, something like that would be a good option if it was possible to have it as a choice. I don't see the point in being able to select a 2lb (or even a 1lb) weight loss if it's unrealistic and in fact MFP actually gives you a calorie amount which isn't related to the rate of weight loss at all. Then people think they are…

I'm laughing at tomorrow being THE day: I so understand that! We're like Scarlet O'Hara "Tomorrow is another day", except we have too much food instead of too little! I always think I have my mindset sorted, and then like you, I just lose focus throughout the day. Good luck tomorrow! I'm sorry about your shoulder, Snooozie…

I think another reason that it comes up here a lot because, as others have said, it's the minimum MFP will recommend for a woman. That means that any women with a TDEE (before adding exercise calories, if doing that) below 2200, will get a goal of 1200 if they aim for a 2lb a week weight loss, anyone with a TDEE below 1950…

The insurance is mainly for medical problems abroad. It's usually about £10 or similar for a few days abroad, but because of my health conditions, it's hundreds of pounds for me. Yes, Slimming World is a bit like Weight Watchers, but much bigger in the UK, I think. The basic principle is that you can eat unmeasured amount…

Thank you for the extra pictures, Suzy! That Air BnB is incredible - was that your find? And Brugge is beautiful. I have never been - I keep meaning to, because the ferry over to Zeebrugge is only about an hour's drive away. But of course, there's the insurance problem! Yes, tomorrow is a new chance! Even the rest of today…

I love the picture of the ring fort. What an incredible view! I love the sight of the sea or loughs (I'm not sure which!) stretching into the distance! Also the dark clouds waiting to rain when you get back in the car - lol! I'm with Snoozie, I'd love to see more pictures! So funny to think of beans on toast being a local…

Welcome back, Suzy! I love your pictures and you look amazing! I want your jacket and shoes from the Giant's Causeway picture. But in a bigger size, lol! I'm so glad you caught the good weather, thankfully! Northern Europe seems to be wet and windy at the moment! Which was your favourite place? Did you indulge in any…

I haven't tried the ready meals. Interesting to hear that they are so good! I don't eat ready meals, although I did have Lean Cuisine many years ago. I'm so used to cooking from scratch, I kind of forgot they existed! I'm not disapproving - they're probably good as an occasional quick, portion-controlled, washing up free…

Saved by laziness indeed! That has actually happened to me when I've wanted a snack but have been too lazy to go to the kitchen and make one - lol! As far as baking ingredients go, I live about two minutes walk a corner shop which has all the basics, so it's not like it's it's a big expedition. Anyway, the tablet was a big…

I am looking forward to it, but was mildly disappointed to hear that it won't be like it was at release, but will be a later a patch. I do understand why, but nostalgia dictates that I experience it as it was when I levelled my first character, no matter how bad! I had a break from the game later in vanilla and came back…

At least it's 5 lb and not 15 lb! Have you reset your weight? I still haven't had the guts to that, after seven years. I'm still desparately clinging to my 60lb lost- lol! In my defence, I do think it helps to inspire me to be reminded of the work I've put in previously and the success I've had. I don't want to feel I'm…

I lost a good amount of weight (60lb ) in peri-menopause a few years ago, and kept if off. I'm now post-menopause and finding it much harder to maintain than it was before. Some of that is in terms of "willpower" or whatever, rather than necessarily calories. For instance, I get cravings for sweet foods that I didn't have…

Oh, I'm so sorry about your dad! I know it was expected, but such a loss ... you have been through so much over the last year or two. And it sounds like you have so much to do and organise. Sending you good wishes x x
