Hi ladies! It's been a horrendus day as far as food journal goes. BUT I had a fantastic day that started with getting my hair cut. Something MUCH needed by my hair and my soul! LOL Took the my 6 year old and a friend of his to a huge corn maze tonight. This thing is set up on a hill so it's all either up or down hill…

The most important thing is that you are happy with who you are! Congrats on recognizing that you need to do something this early on. Best of luck and feel free to friend me as well!

Oh my. That is very sad. It's also an eye opener though. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I'd love to join! I'm at 233.5 as of this morning! Mondays are my weigh in so this is great!

Hello and Congrats on getting married! You are starting off right by giving yourself a year to get healthy! Good Luck!

Congrats! I tell you... you can do it! I am also an ex-smoker. I stopped drinking Diet Pepsi about a month ago. I used to drink 3 or 4 20oz a day. Hubby brought one home last week for me .... It was so sweet and sticky I really didn't like it. :noway: Just for kicks, I had one last night. Same thing. You will be surprised…

We are a lot alike Allie! I go to Zumba 2 days as well. I am going to continue going since it's not a high impact workout if you don't jump around too much. Plus it's a totally different exercise. I'm starting today!!!

Awesome! Congrats!!!

Hydroxycut, the Acai Berry pill, Atkins, South Beach, Slim Fast even the HCG. All of which failed miserably.

Yes thank you! I was just thinking that I need to get off my scale in the morning. Now I KNOW I need to stop.

Wow! That's a busy weekend! I think you did a huge thing by posting here. You are holding yourself accountable. The worst part for me would be waking up so early. The best I can say is when you wake up.... get right up. Don't lay there and wish you had a few more minutes. Otherwise you will undoubtedly fall asleep. Most…

They may have been there to begin with... just not noticable? I had that issue. Of course it was when I was PG. No stretch marks until I had my boy. The doc said they were there the whole time. I just didn't see them. Any way. Try that Mederma cream right away. It doesn't get rid of them but it fades them quite a bit.

I posted a similar topic in the General weight loss and diet forum. I'll be starting this next week!

Thank you for all your input friends!!! I am very excited to start this. I've done a little research online as far as shoes go, I'm flat-footed. I think I'll be hitting up a shoe store this weekend. =) Thank you so much!!!!!

Welcme!!! Congrats on your progress!! You'll love this site!

Zumba is awesome. I haven't met a person yet who doesn't love it. I bought my first dvd off e-bay for like $15 with shipping. Or check You-tube and see if theres something there. Bottom line.. it's fun and even if you cant do all the moves at first, keep moving. =D

I battled eating disorders in high school... when I was PG I over ate because I was so afraid to not eat enough. Wrapped myself in motherhood, didn't care about me... Lazy, loved food.
-
YES! That's worth a big celebration! Congratulations! :flowerforyou:
-
I've only gone 4... and I've had like 10 glasses!!!
-
Awesome article. Thank you so much for sharing!

I can echo everyone else here and say I love ZUMBA! I also love the confidence boost I get from it. Something about latin dance, shaking and shimmying says Rawr!
-
Check e-bay too. I bought mine brand new with less shipping than on the Zumba Website.
-
Wish I knew but you certainly made me laugh!

I just wanted to add that I have back issues and have had them for a long time. I have an extra vertebrae (sp???) which throws the whole thing out of whack. Since doing Zumba on a regular basis I have had very little to no back pain. I notice there's a huge difference in my posture etc. It's an awesome total body workout!
