I have a foam roller but haven't tried using it, I think you all may have given me the motivation to do so!

Too much exercise and guessing too much sugar and carbs. My doctor advised me to exercise moderately (walking a couple of miles) and to watch the hidden sugar and the carb intake. I lost 62 lbs that way, I'm almost 53 years old and it took that long to figure it out! I am at my lowest weight since Jr. High School.

You are amazing!! What an inspiring story, thank you so much for having the courage to share it!

I try and keep my sugar down also. I use Hood brand milk which only has 4grams of sugar per glass.

Age: 52 SW: 179 CW 117 GW 125 Started: 6-25-10 GW: approx 11/12 I limited sugar and carbs to lose weight, I followed the book, Jorge Cruise, the belly fat cure. Now I just watch my daily calorie intake and keep it within the limits set by MFP and fitbit. I do still keep a close eye on the sugar and avoid it whenever…

I like EAS Carbadvantage shakes, they are low cal, low sugar and taste great!

I still log!! 445 days and counting! To easy to slide back into unhealthy eating. Besides, I've made some good fitness buddies on this website. So for now, for me, I log.

I am so sorry, we lost our dog in January to red blood cell cancer. We lost one about 10 years ago to breast cancer. We've also lost a cat to feline leukemia. It is so hard. I can tell you the pain does lessen, however, I am typing this with tears in my eyes. It is surprisingly difficult to lose a pet, you just aren't…

I like both, I use the treadmill when it's extreme outside, and I use it to push myself to go faster. When it's warm/cool enough outside, I love running where the scenery changes, as does the terrain.

Either one is fine! What everyone else said about being courteous is so true! If you're moving slow stay to the right allowing folks to pass on the left. There are many who do a mix of walking and running, I believe it's all about being aware of what's going on.

I have a fitbit one and I love it! But as others have said, it depends on what you want out of a device. The fitbit only tracks steps and sleep.

When I lost weight I got rid of it all! I also shop thrift stores for nice things. The biggest difference in my clothing now is that I don't wear the flowy longer tops. My clothes are more fitted.

Regular soda of any kind definitely will cause weight gain! It's full of sugar and about 120 calories in 12 ounces.

Love that app! Enjoy!

Cool!! That's always wonderful to hear!
-
Sounds yummy!! Gonna try for sure!

I use Hood Calorie Countdown milk, way less sugar than skim milk...and a little less calories as well.

I am a firm believer in getting enough sleep. Losing weight correctly is all about changing your lifestyle and becoming more healthy. When you have enough sleep, you will have more energy and be able to work out better. I have made a conscious effort to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night since I've been on my journey. I…

totally agree, also you need to be fitted properly. Everyone's feet are different and require different types of support and padding.

My favorite sports bra is one I got from under armor, nothing moves with that one one.
-
You are doing wonderful!! It's great that the people around you are noticing!!

Sounds like a healthy snack! Personally I don't much think it matters which day you log it. I take a melatonin supplement at night that works just like a sleeping pill with out the ugly side effects, you might try giving it whirl if you have too much trouble sleeping.
-
Yay for you!! That is wonderful!! All that exercise does help whittle away those inches!
-
That's huge!!! Way to go!

My doctor told me long ago that you need to eat at least 400 calories for breakfast to jump start your metabolism. My Mom always has told me to : Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. That all being said, it's taken my whole adult life to learn to eat in the morning, and I love to eat at…
