When I started my fitness journey my hips were 42". I know, they were HUGE!!! Way bigger than 39". I didnt do anything specific to reduce the size of my hips. I forgot to mention that I only gained about 30lbs with each pregnancy and I worked the whole 9 months I was pregnant. I was on my feet all day and I felt great, even in the heat.
