I'm a mom to two little boys! I started at 144 and went up to 215 the day I had my first son. I'm lactose intolerant as well and I haven't found anything besides nuts that provide a good amount of protein and are easy for snacks. There are some protein bars without dairy I think they're called Lara bars. I haven't tried them but I hear they are good.

I've been drinking almond milk forever and I always go past the seven days. Sometimes I don't open it until after the expiration date and it still tastes fine.
