  • I scored 13 so I feel pretty good about that! I realize that as I move closer to where I want to be I'll get even better. Had I not lost over 100 lbs and kept it off in the past 10 years I'm sure my number would be sky high!…
  • CONGRATULATIONS! I'm glad you posted about measuring because over the weekend I decided to do that. The scales can be discouraging...but my clothes have been telling a different story.
  • I tried Spark People before and have to say for me that MFP is simpler. Maybe I just didn't utilize it much. The best thing I liked was the daily recipes & motivational messages sent to my e-mail box.
  • I keep positive alternatives on hand. For example, I keep almonds or 100 calorie popcorn around the house to offset any desires for something salty or chips. Or as a substitute for chocolate I'll keep chocolate protein powder on hand for a quick shake or those Weight Watchers Smart Delights (little cup of dessert). Just…
  • I pray you reach your goal and I'm confident you will if you just stick with it...ESPECIALLY when you seem stuck. I've gone weeks and weeks without seeing anything and then one day boom! It's like I'll loose a lb. for every week that I never saw anything. Pay attention to your clothes and inches lost; that helps when the…
  • I am so SOOOOO happy and PROUD of you!!! Yoiu can do this and YOU HAVE done GREAT! I enjoyed reading your post and can relate. I once weighed close to 300 lbs and at 5 '1 that was horrible...I certainly didn't feel great. It's been 10 + years for me to get where I am. So I've been here on MFP for a little over a month now…
  • Great job!! Congratulations on your success!
  • When I did the lemon cleanse for 10 days that killed my sugar cravings. Of course, if you're a chocoholic like me soon as you allow yourself to given in to people around you who always have it around, the taste for sugar comes back. The Weight Watchers Smart Delights (Key Lime, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, etc.) really…
  • Congratulations!! You look like 2 totally different people in those pics!
  • Nik, others will always notice more of a change in how we look before we do. DEFINITELY KEEP CLOTHES from your present weight around. I remember when I 1st started on my journey one of the things that helped me mentally was periodically putting on the clothes that once fit me perfectly in my larger size because for a long…
  • Thanks for the great information. It is also helpful knowing what the recommendation is for grams of protein per pound of body weight. I like starting my day with a protein bar following my workout. I found out it's really helped sustain me for some hours prior to lunch after I've had a hard workout.
