  • 205.8 this morning Did good on the sodium.. had 1560 mg or 60 over last Tuesday, but did really good the rest of the week, sometimes under 1,000 mg. Don't ask me about exercise. I don't have a regular schedule, but I did work on the treadmill for 20 minutes before water aerobics on Thursday. I love the challenges and…
  • I have a fitbit I wear unless I'm in the shower or in the pool. I wear a Polar FT7 when I'm working out or for water aerobics or playing in the pool with the grandkids. The polar FT7 works well in the pool, you just can't touch any of the buttons on the watch part while it is wet.
  • normally between 6 and 8.. get up early weekdays to leave for work around 5am. I hate traffic!! Good thing is I haven't needed sleeping pills since I started working out regularly

  • My doctor has me on 1,500 mg of sodium a day. To help me I use alot of the following: no sodium chicken or beef bouillon. no sodium peanut butter. low sodium turkey bacon. Mrs. Dash's seasoning. Some sun dried tomatoes are lower in sodium, I add them to my stir fry dishes to give me the salt taste. Although I never add…
  • I only go on facebook to check in with family and friends now... Every once in a while I'll play a game of slingo.
  • I'm old... I was married first. It's nice to see younger couples waiting too.
  • High School was sooo long ago! I was a nerd, didn't like to play sports, so I was the team manager for the girls sports. Close to the top of my class. Had a "no" prom sleep over party at my house for all my friends that didn't go. Still close friends with a few of my high school friends, but we didn't get to know each…
  • I'm in. Thanks for the video!
  • Inksy, If you could change my goal weight to 195, I'd really appreciate it. I think that is 32.4 pounds total.. That will give me something to work toward! Thanks for all you do!
  • I think my husband and I pay about $130/month for Lifetime Family Fitness. Really nice club and never have to wait for any of the equipment. Indoor and outdoor pools with water aerobics classes almost every day (but not at times I can go). I think my husband has gone twice since we joined and I go as often as I can. Used…
  • Weight this morning was 207.8. I did really well with the water at least 12 cups a day, usually more. I did work a bit more on my arms, used the shaker weight and bought arm and wrist weights. Probably could have done more. This weeks goals. - Exercise 15 minutes more a day. I did day one of c25k yesterday with my…
  • I try to limit my sodium to under 1,500mg per day. Which means, no more frozen lean cuisines, salads only when eating at 90% of the restaurants and have to be really careful on the salad dressing. Too much sodium means more water weight, but drinking a lot of water cleans out the sodium and other impurities in the body.…

  • Congratulations!! I'm looking forward to that day also. I was thinking today I should go buy a pair of size 8 Levi's and hang them on the door in my bedroom. I'd love to be a size 8. I think I went from kids clothes to a size 12... but too old to really remember that far back.
  • I have a polar FT7 and I like it because I can use it in the pool to track my water aerobics class. Haven't had any trouble with it yet. My husband has a Garmin Forerunner 910xt. He uses his to track his bike trips. His was a lot more expensive because it has GPS, but he seems to like it also.
  • I weigh daily also. And on weekends I weigh twice. Once at 5:00 like I do every morning, then I go back to bed and weigh again when I get up for the day. I usually am down another .2 to .6 pounds the second time. I keep a log on my phone of daily weight, BF% (when I remember) and time I went to sleep and woke up. I log all…
  • Kirklands calcium chocolate supplement - I was taking 3 a day until the dr. told me last Friday not to take anymore. Too much calcium. Still at the top of the list though. Raw almonds is next.
  • Some restaurants give the nutrition info for 1/2 plate of food (small print), then serve you the full plate. My husband and son went to Pei Wei and he was so proud that he'd had all that food for ??? calories... I told him to check their website, because they list the info for half plate. He was so disappointed and won't…
  • Happy Tuesday everyone! And Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans! My weight this AM was 210.6 I spent all last week with my grandkids, going places and doing new things with them. I started tracking fiber, but saw the dr. yesterday and he said I need to track calcium. So good bye fiber and hello Calcium. We won't…
  • My husband has several, I think two of my three kids have them. I was thinking of getting one when I get to goal weight, but my husband doesn't think I could handle the pain. I have a high tolerance for pain, but I'm not sure I want to do it on purpose...... I guess if I find the perfect tattoo I could handle it.
  • I love my fitbit, but also have a polar HRM for when I'm working out. The fitbit helps me track how active I am each day. The combination of both help me to have a better handle on the calories i'm burning. I haven't had any trouble with mine and I've had it almost 2 months. (knock on wood.)
  • I have a fitbit and HRM to help me calculate calories burned, but don't eat them back. I did override MFP for my calories and sodium to match my BMR and the sodium my doctor would like to to stick to. I try to eat as close to BMR as possible, but sometimes it's not possible. (Unless I hit the 6 boxes of girl scout cookies…
  • Done.... I'm impressed with your foresight to include your mom in your new lifestyle (I don't like calling it a diet, because I always gain dieting weight back). My daughter is on MFP and my mother-in-law is considering it. Please feel free to add me as a friend if you are interested.
  • I tried contacts as a teenager (back when they were hard and you had to take them out nightly). The main reason I have never tried again though is that I have a condition that makes my eyes crossed at times and the glasses help to minimize the cross eyed effect.
  • I don't... Rarely do I get more than 4-6 cups of straight water, but I do drink other liquids, like diet soda, tea and crystal light. I know everyone says diet soda's aren't good (including my family), but the pamphlet from the dr.'s office said that diet soda is ok as long as you can see through it.. So no more Diet Dr.…
  • I knew my husband 5 weeks when we got engaged and about 6 weeks when we got married. We remarried in the church later that year. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary (the 1st one) in May.
  • I have over 100 pounds to lose. I started on May 8th and told MFP I wanted to lose a pound a week. Then I reset my calories to my bmr. I've lost about 28 pounds, but I know the 1st 10 was water weight and then some was probably the weight I gained during lent, so it came right back off again. I also started watching my…
  • I just bought a Polar FT7. It records alot less calories burned then MFP or the machines I'm working on give me. I like it because I can also use it in the pool.
