I started at a 24/26 in May and can now fit into some 8P's (jeans). I am between a 10P and 14P in other styles of clothing. Down from 3-4X to Med or Large in tops/sweaters. Still have quite a ways to go though!

Born and raised in Ferndale and Union Lake, lived in Waterford for 10 years as an adult, but moved to Texas 15 years ago. Actually had to move to Dallas in order to go see the Red Wings play!

I was a tight 24, loose 26, when I started my journey in May. I now fit into a size 10 denim jeans, but size 12-14 for everything else. I want to lose another 40-50 pounds to be a normal BMI and body fat %. I can't post pictures from work, but there are a few on my home page. Haven't added any new pictures in a few weeks.

Great!! Made me late for work, couldn't stop reading!

frozen meals, lunch meats, some cheese (swiss is lowest naturally), most soups, the majority of meals at restaurants are all full of sodium... Oriental food with sauces is also packed with sodium. Get the low sodium or hint of sodium crackers and snacks. Himalayan Pink Salt has the lowest sodium count for table salt, but…

Congrats!!! There is more to come... Remember a lot of people will notice but be afraid to say something. My husband thinks the nurse at his doctors office has lost weight, but worried about saying anything, just in case he was wrong.

I am 53 years old have have lost about 65 pounds since May and my husband is 57 and has lost almost 100 pounds since April. We are both exercising and working out. I have gone from a size 26 to a size 12/14 and my husbands is down from a tight 4x to a 2x. We both want to lose another 50 pounds or so. Our last before/during…

Another Flower Mound MFP'r here. Also my daughter graduated from the TWU dietetics program a few years ago. She didn't go on for her RD, because of family responsibilities and has not pursued work in the field. My question has to do with eating and working out. I started getting up at 4am and doing a 1/2 hour workout…

My husband is 57 and I'm 53 and we both started exercising in May. My husband was an ultimate couch potato, longest walk during the day was to the restroom (He works at home). At first he could not even walk around the block without feeling like he was dying. Now about 5 months later he is mostly doing bike rides. Just…

I'm a fitbit user and love it! Right now I only use it to log my weight every morning and sleep patterns and let everything else sync with MVP. I would like to use more of the fitbit features, just need to figure out what is out there. http://www.fitbit.com/user/22RKVL

When I got married 30 years ago, my loving grandmother bought me my wedding dress (on sale for less than $250) while I was in the middle of the Indian Ocean on a Navy Ship. It was a size 12... I was a size 16 --- I took it to a seamstress and paid $300.00 to have it altered so I could wear it on our special day. (The…

sounds like I need to start saving recipes!

I plan on sticking with MFP for the rest of my life.. or close to it. I'm still a ways from my goal, but I've lost and gained back so much over the years, I want to stop the cycle. When I log, I'm more conscious of what I'm eating from the get go. No more.. "One little bite won't hurt me...."
-
Wow... When I think of it that way, I've lost the equivalent of my 6 year old grandson......

lost 100 pounds in 1999 and gained about 80 pounds back, lost 50 pounds in 2008 and gained it all back and then some, Started a new lifestyle instead of a diet in May and have lost 60 pounds so far, another 50 or so to go. I've never tracked calories before or my sodium. Now that I can track both without it being a major…

Are you putting the time you started your workout in MFP when you log the exercise? Mine looks at the time and then normally adjusts the fitbit adjustment down to take out the time when I logged.. At least it used to. I'll need to look to see if it is still doing it next time I log.

I too have a real twin! (Identical) Any Andreas around?? :) [/quote] <<Andrea here ---And I have found someone (not on MFP) with my maiden name 'Andrea Gadoua' We've never met, but I have met her sister. We are related 7 generations back, our ancestors are half brothers. Gotta love genealogy.
