  • I have a free gym I have access too at work so i use that, my personal trainer has a gym at her place so i workout there and should i need to go at home i go for a run or have stuff on the WII.
  • yeah i've been starved for the last few weeks. vive le canada.. :(
  • what sort of excercise do you do? cos if you are having a little bit of a plateau sometimes all you need is a little workout overhaul - changes the muscles use, or how they are used. Also - do a change in diet ( like a "clean" diet with tons of water) sometimes that can change too. We all react differently with wgt loss. I…
  • I do a mix of cardio - wgt training. so in 20-30 mins I get my cardio going do a full body workout with mtpl muscles targetting.. ex - lunges w curls, squats w presses, toss in a ab and a 2-5 min bike session - wash rinse repeat the small circuit a few times. It keeps my HR up and I get a muscular workout out of it. And…
  • I understand - I stopped planning out my meals and then I was like- dammit. What do I want to eat - I'll wing it. That was a bad idea- cos sometimes the quick fixes are not the best. I - like you- am starting over almost. So return to the start - what made you decide to pre plan your meals? Try to find that feeling. And…
  • Awesome!
  • Yeah - it's easier on the joints, but if running and biking are to hard for you try swimming. Like mentioned earlier one must cross train - if not you will only be working the same muscles. Do you change your direction on the eliptical? forward vs backwards? that does a change as well. kitty

  • Well, 1st thing is that you have to think of this not as a diet but as a change of lifestyle. I mean, obviously what i was doing before was not working for me! I TRY to eat mtpl smalls "meals" throughout the day vs 3 big meals. I dont have the i need a nap feeling I usually get after a small meal vs the big ones. You also…
  • Welcome! It is a hard journey, and one that we can easily be distracted from. Just remember that if you can find the strength to keep going, you may inspire those around you as well when they see how well you are doing for yourself! :) kitty

  • Gratz! :D
  • and you realize that muscle weighs more than fat yes? if you have gone from no exercise to a lot more then you most likely built some muscle mass. look at your body - have more muscle definition? your clothes fit better or looser? too many ppl keep looking at the scale and get discouraged. you are on your way to a better…
  • well, are you vegan? since whey powder often has a milk protein in it then most vegan don't take it. ( unless someone found one w/o milk in it? :D ) almond milk is a milk substitute. a friend is allergic to bovine protein and he started having moobs with soy so he switched to almond milk - its taste and how well your body…
  • yeah what she said! Cos on the treadmill i was like yay! i can run! then I went outside... O.o no belt to help me along. and since there is no adjustable incline it can be harder on the knees. :) grats to you tho! I am trying to be able to run a 3K at the end of octobre. of course, back injury not helping atm... :( best of…
  • My HR monitor I use when training- I don't look at the amount of calories I burned cos then one becomes number obsessed. I do however keep an eye on my HR. I started enjoying intervals cardio training ( eg. 2min walking HR 110-120 then running for a min or 2 with a HR at 160ish- then walking about 2 for my HR to go back…
  • Take some me time and if you are somewhere that's like Ottawa then the leaves are changing colours. A nice little walk should give you some you time, a chance to enjoy the outdoors and hopefully get you away from a deep fried chocolate something - altho not gonna lie not I want some..., <glare> meanie. :P kat
  • proteins and fiber will keep you feel full longer vs simple carbs and sugary sweets. so really - if you are going to overdo some eats those are the ones you want to be doing it with. make sure you do get the right amounts of nutrients going. Seeing a nutritionist is always a good idea imo - I have met one and she has given…
