This is the only thing that works for me! I always try to plan my food at least a day in advance. I get my breakfast ready and pack my lunch with snacks. Sometimes dinner is up in the air but at least that way I know what I have to work with. Then I still calculate dinner before making/eating it to make sure it works into…

Great post! I made my son's "baby food" which was usually just whatever I was eating pureed.

I know this doesn't help but it's food for thought...losing 1 lb. takes 4 pounds of pressure off your knees. So everytime you lose think of how much relief your knees are getting!

Someone is always going to talk about you behind your back. I'm sure at some point you can remember talking behind a friends back even though you really care for them and value their friendship. People are opinionated right or wrong. One thing I've learned is to feel whatever emotion you get from something then let it go.…

Maybe try looking up a similar dessert and then subtract that from your meal. You could just do quick added calories for that today.

I ate one but it was within my calorie range.

I usually pop in a workout DVD after my 3 year old son falls asleep. I'm a single mom and I work full time and go to school in the evening. Going to the gym doesn't fit in to my schedule right now. A workout DVD isn't the most intense workout but it's better than nothing. I also have a Wii with some games that my son can…

I love many quotes by Maya Angelou. It's always important to continue to work on bettering ourselves with each endeavor. Thanks for the reminder!

I should start taking progress pics. I don't always notice my loss when I look in the mirror or put on my clothes but whenever I see people post side by side pics you can see such a change! Great job!

I love Cuisinart brand. My mom got one when she got married in the 70s and it only recently broke. She used it often. I have a small 7-cup Cuisinart food processor that I made all of my son's baby food in. It was around 80-100 bucks at Target. It's not great for large recipes so you'd want something bigger if you were…

I'm not sure if you have Kroger where you live but I can go online and choose which coupons I want to use then enter the card number from the little card I signed up for and it loads the coupons on that. I keep the little card on my key chain and it makes it so easy.

Oh! And be sure to log every treat! Once you see how many calories just a tiny little candy bar is you won't be as interested in them!

Luckily I don't have anything at my desk but there is candy on the desk of everyone I pass on the way to the bathroom or lunch room. I actually told all of those people that I was trying to lose weight so that they shouldn't let me have any of their treats. Saying it out loud made me know that they were going to notice if…

I've read it and used the hypnosis CD for awhile. The book was a quick read and is basically common sense but it's nice to see it in print to remind yourself of it. I don't necessarily think the hypnosis CD works as far as hypnotizing me into being thin but it DOES help me relax and I like it for that purpose. I know when…

Drink tea or a zero calorie drink. If you think it's honest hunger eat a few almonds or something and wait to see if it passes. I eat every few hours because of that habit. It works for me if I plan the whole day and try to eat smaller amounts more frequently.

That sounds AMAZING!

Sounds good! Thanks!

Yay! Good for you!

Love them! I have the caramel cones and the cookies n cream ice cream sandwiches in my freezer right now!

I hate grocery shopping but just because it's always crowded. It's just a chore to me. It's easy for me to resist unhealthy foods (unless I'm pretty hungry before going). My strategy is to stay around the edges of the store. Most of the junk (aside from maybe the bakery) are in the middle aisles. Everything I want/need are…

Drink water and have a healthy snack. I actually eat 5 times a day. I have breakfast then within 2 hours have a mid morning snack, then lunch, then an afternoon snack, and then dinner. If I skip snacks and ignore my hunger then by meal time I'm super hungry and tend to overeat.

The red team totally screwed themselves. They could win every weigh in if they kept Arthur. He's bound to have big numbers. Kaylee, Ken, and Moses all blew it at home. The vote should reflect the weakest link.

I felt great at 6 months! It was the first 12 weeks and the last month or month and a half that were hard. She'd probably be fine. But if not, is there someone who can go in her place? You could always buy two tickets then maybe a brother or friend could go if she wasn't up for it?

When you have large quantities of candy you can donate them to different programs who will send them over to soldiers while they're overseas. Over Halloween we had kids bring in a portion of their candy to donate. Also, sometimes when there is only a little candy nursing homes or senior centers will take them as a treat…

When kids bring cupcakes I always think about how many germs are probably lingering from them sneezing on them or putting their fingers all over them, lol. I know it's harder with individually wrapped snacks but maybe you can tell yourself that they're covered in germs, too!

I make breakfast sandwiches often. They're easy and portable which works for me. I usually use a light english muffin (100 cals) or a bagel thin (110 cals). I use egg beaters and someone here suggested heating them in the microwave in a coffee cup because it's quick and easy and makes the perfect shape for the englsh…

I make mini pizzas. I make a mixture of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and garlic and spread a small amount over the pita. Then just add some part skim mozzarella, plum tomatoes, and fresh basil. Bake them in the oven at 425 until they seem crisp and enjoy.
