The recipe I use is only about 200 Calories for one Melon Pan about the size of your palm. It's not that bad =). I make it quite often. I agree with the portion and activity level thing. I cook a fair amount of Japanese food (authentic ingredients) and if I were to eat it in "American" proportions a lot of it would be just as unhealthy as any fast food burger.

I'd blame the parents. My kid watches a good amount of TV and Games every day. However, EVERYDAY we sit down and have a from scratch dinner, do home work, and are in bed by 8:20 pm.
