I may have a Legend of Zelda tattoo somewhere. :)

I have been a victim of office treats since 2009. In fact, office sweets, treats, and lunches are a lot of the reason I gained so much weight. Now a days, I try having a SMALL but of whatever is offered. For example, maybe a small piece of a donut, but I stick to my healthy stuff the rest of the day, and I account for my…

While it is totally frustrating to have to work harder to burn more than someone who is out of shape while you are exercising, you also need to remember that since you are IN shape, you burn A LOT more at rest, because you probably have a much higher muscle mass.

There a lot of good suggestions here, so I apologize if I repeat. I didn't go through every single one. You mentioned you have a desk job. Do you wear glasses? Have you been to an eye doctor lately? Sometimes if you don't have the proper eye wear and you stare at a computer all day, you can have eye strain which can cause…

5'1" here. Started at 191 (yikes!) down to 143. Goal of 125 to start (I am pretty broad shouldered for my height) but may go lower. Add me for sure. :)

I know that you are trying to do it at home, but the thing that made the biggest difference for me was Spin class. I really push myself and add resistance, but I have seen a WORLD of difference. The other day I was sitting on the couch and my sisters boyfriend pointed at my leg and said WOAH! I at first thought I had…

I was having this problem on the elliptical. I ran a few searches online and saw some suggestions for loosening my shoe laces a bit. Sounds way too simple but it worked! Hope it works for you, too. :) I have also heard for running that you may want to invest in some good running shoes purchased at a specialty store. They…

This was a HUGE challenge for me when I was a new college grad and moved out on my own. My work place would buy lunch for the team A LOT, and since people new I was a new grad, just moved out, was the admin (and was paid less), a lot of times people would box up the leftovers for me and another fellow grad, which was very…

Protein shakes. I made them with almond milk. I sometimes put 1tbsp of peanut butter or a banana. 100 cal packs of almonds. They even have ones dusted in cocoa powder. Only 1g of sugar and lots of protein. Non fat plain greek yogurt with some fruit. Oatmeal Fish and Chicken...basically lots of protein. If you would like to…

RUNNING didn't work for me. I am new to exercise this time around. I would always try running because I saw it as the ultimate weight loss exercise, since to many people that I knew who were successful with weight loss did it. I, however, hated every second of every run or jog. I joke about how quitting running was the…

Love your story! I see a lit of similarities in your story to mine. I recently watched my grandfather pass due to complications from diabetes and I DO NOT want to go that route. I have no children yet, but am planning on some within the next couple of years, and want to be an active parent. And seriously, what a lovely…

I buy these 100 cal packs of almonds that are covered in cocoa powder, vanilla or cinnamon. Only 1g of sugar, and they provide a sweet fix while also providing nutritional value! Trader Joe's also has fruit bars that are around 100 cals. I love them! Kashi has some dark chocolate and sea salt bars that are good. 140 cal…

I am 5’1”. I started at 191 in June of 2012 and am at 144 now. It took me about a year to lose 45 pounds. For me, I lost 25 pounds fairly quickly and then it slowed down. I will sometimes go weeks without losing, but then I will lose 2 or 3lbs in a week, and then be steady for a few. Then maybe lose a pound or two and then…

Me! 5'1". HW 191 CW 144 (down over 45 lbs!) GW Between 115-125. We shall see. I eat between 1200-1500 per day. I exercise at least 5 days a week, which is new for me. It has made a world of difference! Anyone feel free to add me. :)

I try to go every two sizes like some others mentioned. For work pants, my boss told me "you can't wear those anymore, you need to go buy more this weekend." It got pretty bad. I try to get a few things here and there, on sale. I have been getting some basic tshirts at oldnavy.com for $5-$6. I can dress them up for work or…

In the past, I would have "cheat days" and honestly undo everything I had done. However, I found that when I added exercise to my routine, I found that I could add in things I like, such as a slice of cake here and there, and still lose weight. As others have said, I make it work. I try to have a cheat meal every weekend…

Wow!! you look great!! Conrats!! I struggle with the sugar too. Did you eat a lot of fruit, or did you consider that sugars as well?

Yeah, a friend of mine and I have an inside joke about giving each other fat clothes and being offended. The ONLY reason I would offer them up to this particular coworker is because I know she is hurting for money and got a talking to about her wardrobe needing to be more professional. Otherwise I would not do it.

Haha so true!! I have lots of skinny clothes waiting...

My honey is muslim Indian, raised in the US. We have similar agnostic views on religion. We have been seeing each other for going on two years and it is…

I am 5'1". My current weight is 175. In college, I was around 140 and was pretty happy. I have broad shoulders for my height and am a bit curvy. I would like to get down to 125 by adding some lifting and real toning things up. :)

Please add me! I would love some support! I have about 50ish pounds to lose!
