@bearly63 There's so many fires it's hard to keep track of them. One of the largest is up to 150,000 acres and 15% contained. We could use some rain. We watched Only The Brave the other night and I started crying. It's based on a fire a few years back where we lost 19 of 20 hot shots. An excellent movie but so devestating.…

Down a pound today. Hopeful it's a trend but will keep moving forward with my plan. Today DH is off so not sure what all will happen. Plan is 3 miles + weights but might end up with only weights.

@Avidkeo I think recognizing the issue is the first step. It sounds like you hae a good plan so far. I've forgotten what your injury is but could you do other exercise instead of running? I know it's not the same but could give you something to do. I've never gotten to the BED level. I've had binges in the past though and…

PB&J is my favorite granola. Don't order the drizzle though... 🤣 I had Picky Bars trail mix fix oatmeal for breakfast with half a serving of drizzle today. Sooooooo good. I love their oatmeal. I may or may not be obsessed with Picky Bars. Yesterday: Weighed food. Ran. Stayed in calorie goal. Had a single serve brownie cup…

@Avidkeo The cake turned out great!

@avidkeo I can't wait to see the finished product! What are the triangle-shaped bars? They look delicious! I ended about 300 calories under my goal. I weighed all my food. I ate so much fruit & vegetables. I tried to get more protein, fewer carbs as well. And I chose to have cookies. Not cookies and ice cream. I did have 4…

I was cringing during that episode 🤣

@elise4270 I think I am going to aim for 10-15 pounds by the end of the year. I went back & looked at my diary from years ago when I lost the weight. I was right around the same amount of calories. My plan so far: 1. Start weighing food again. I used to be good at eye balling but I'm not even trying to be accurate. 2.…

I carry most of my weight in my stomach and thighs. My upper body is pretty good. No, I don't use the MFP calcs. They always give me like 1200-1400 and that's way too little. I use the TDEE method. My weight is staying pretty steady. I feel hungry most days. Going to try the increase for a few weeks or so and see how it…

I *kitten* up my calorie goal and recalculated using 6 days of exercise because that's what I do and its so many more calories. *sigh* I don't know if I should try that or go back to the 3-5 day calories. I really want to drop these extra 25 pounds and get my body fat down.

I looked at turning our dogs into diamonds. It's pretty expensive from what I remember. @Avidkeo I feel you. I feel like no matter what I do I keep losing and gaining the same half pound and can't drop weight.

Lenny usually drops out for the summer. He will probably be back in the fall.
-
@shanaber I use my rogas for short runs & hiking. Love them for hiking because I can keep my phone in the short pockets instead of my camera pack.
-
@shanaber Sometimes I stop at Starbucks when I finish a long run. Walk home is a nice cool down. Iced is so good in summer!

Pup is her usual self. She's been begging for food all day from me lol
-
Justin dropped a corn tortilla and Shadow snatched and ran with it. 🤣 She must have thought we were going to take it from her. She doesn't usually run away with food we dropped. I guess she's feeling better. We'll keep an eye on her to see how she does.

One thing that really helped me understand my grief (and how it pops up over time) is this article https://themighty.com/2018/12/ball-box-analogy-grief/ Hopefully it helps others too

Shadow threw up again last night. Only once that we know of. She was on top of me all night and decided 4 am was everyone has to get up time. Needless to say I didn't run this morning. She's now sleeping on the couch. She hasn't eaten but she is holding down the probiotics. So I may run at lunch (97 degrees), strength…

@elise4270 Those are beautiful photos of Alex, especially the first one. He looks like a kind soul. That text conversation is funny. Chat away. We are hear to listen and provide support.
-
We went off roading today. Stopped at Target on the way home (new brand if gf cookies to try - found them in one of the many BLM resources!). Shadow and I waited in the truck. Her head was on a swivel!
-
Oh @elise4270 I am so sorry for your loss. Know we are always here for you. Sending love to you and your family

Migraine hit me hard today. Slept all afternoon. I baby talk, regular talk, and sing to my dog.
-
@Elise4270 I am letting mine expire so I'll see ads again in November. @shanaber maybe they don't like the link?
-
I currently have premium MFP. I don't see the ads LOL Not missing much.

I was only going to buy a $30 Oiselle visor but ended up spending almost $200. Oops. At least it's for a good cause today.…
-
At least it was a rug! Shadow's last puke was on the carpet and we can't get the stain out. Luckily it's behind the couch. (It was some dark green which scared the crap out of me since the others were light yellow. I think it was whatever plant she ate)
-
@shanaber oh no! I hope Hobbes is ok and feels better soon!

Pupdate: She held down her dinner and even went back to lick the bowl. She slept through the night (Wednesday night she was very restless). She got up this morning and had her breakfast. She wanted to go on my run but she didn't do her normal yelling. Vet said no activity until her follow up so she stayed home. She's now…
-
@shanaber They didn't say anything about pancreatitis. It is something I was wondering about. I'll try to remember to ask at the follow up. Emergency vet didn't let me in but new place said I need to wear a mask to come in.
-
I called her vet to schedule a follow up in 2-3 days, as instructed and they were like we don't have any openings until July 11th. Really? You don't leave a few openings for instances like this? I called another vet and they got her in on Thursday. I wasn't happy with the first vet anyway so that was the nail in the…
