The best-laid plans. I had the Jangover 15k to do today. I also wanted to use it for my every damn trail. So I picked a trail that was about 8 miles and I knew the trails leading to the trails were listed as a total of 1.5 each way. So you figure 11 miles total. Well, it was almost 14.5 miles total. And it was almost ALL…

Pretty much all computer programs seem to be going to subscription-based. Adobe does it with all of their editing software. It is nice because you get all the updates as they happen instead of having to purchase expensive software every few years.

@quilteryoyo I think I'd rather get it done sooner than later. Rip the band-aid so to speak.

@Camaramandy648 Is there another way to get her music? Like Amazon music you used to be able to download to phone so you could listen without data. I believe it has to be music you own. I download podcasts to listen to without service. Website like amazon music or spotify maybe? Go old school with CDs? Trying to come up…

I've gotten back at running just not tracking food. I do like half the day and then forget. @elise4270 Coffee (or caffeine) naps are a thing. https://www.vox.com/2014/8/28/6074177/coffee-naps-caffeine-science

@kgirlhart This article really helped me understand grief after my dad died. Hopefully it will help you as well. It's been 2 years (next month) and I still will have random cries over something silly. https://themighty.com/2018/12/ball-box-analogy-grief/

Sending you positive thoughts and lots of love.

When I said I was restarting on Monday I meant NEXT Monday hahahaha

I always start out too fast (crowd, adrenaline) even though I tell myself to be conservative. It really is a fine line. I find if I am fighting to get around people that clearly lied on entry or snuck into a faster corral that I get fatigued. Probably because I'm going faster & having to weave around walkers.

I started back with Hal. He gave me a D so far and is very disappointed in me 🤣 Ok, I just have to share this link so you can see the cute design I made today. Meet Roe, your friendly neighborhood running ghost! I love Halloween https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/58057032

I don't like pace groups. I definitely do negative splits in races so I tend to start out slow. Pace groups tend to start at the pace they promise (like 10 min miles or whatever) and try to hold it the whole way. I've caught up with them & ran a bit before pulling ahead before. It must work for more people because they are…

Inam starting fresh again on Monday. For about the 1837462518 time this year lol Tracking will happen daily, good or bad. Workout will happen daily, good or bad. I have challenges and relays and virtual races to do. Gotta get this ish done!

@Avidkeo Ah, that stinks. It's so weird how everything affects us all differently. Stupid hormones.

@Avidkeo If the minerva doesn't work look at nexolanon implant. I'll be getting my 3rd one in October. They last 3 years and I have no issues for the first 2 years. Usually start getting my period back in the 3rd. Which is lame but not as bad as always having it. I looked at minerva and similar but was afraid of the uterus…

@Camaramandy648 which sleeves did you get? Last year I got the luxe free with an order and OMG they are so awesome I think I'm taking the weekend off (might walk the dog). Yesterday's run I had trouble taking in deep breaths. It lasted most of the day. My head is stuffy and my ears are crackling and won't pop. I felt very…

@Camaramandy648 @T1DCarnivoreRunner I knew others would have issues. My usual issue is my bladder so this was a first while on a run for me.

I went out this morning for 4 miles. I had to stop back home around mile 2. TMI for why I stopped at home. 28.12 for September. I think starting the next 2 weeks I will be kicking it up a notch and running much more. I'd really like to get back to 80-90 miles/month.

I follow her on Insta but I don't recall seeing anything recently from her. But that could be the algorithm too

Check here https://www.justawardmedals.com/Custom-Award-Medals-s/169.htm ETA looks like minimum 30 if you put design on the round medal.

@kgirlhart I'm so sorry about your dad. Sending you and your family lots of love.

RE: Strava race guidance For one race company, they require the Strava workout be changed to a race so it includes pauses, stops etc for their virtual race. The company actually does placement awards so it makes sense. The form to submit does have a spot for you to enter move time and actual time so it displays both. I…

@quilteryoyo Each correct run is an entry into that days challenge contest so I guess if you get the math wrong you don't get an emtry for that day. The challenges are optional. You can earn badges and entries for prizes. ETA some challenges are easy. Like run more than the previous week or take a photo of you jumping
-
It's called Javelina Jallucinations. It's 100 miles in 5 weeks but every week has two different challenges to complete. Like one week they send a math riddle, you solve it and then run the exact miles. There's a huge race Javelina Jundred and this is virtual challenge to go with it.
-
My fingers slipped on my keyboard and I accidentally signed up for another challenge.

I was going to lift yesterday and then didn't. I just don't feel like it. Gotta get back at that. Was going to run this morning but neighbors dogs started barking at 4 am and I was like give me all the coffee. Ugh. Maybe I'll get out tonight. I have a 2.5 mile tempo scheduled. ETA my phone also did not charge overnight and…

@polskagirl01 There are apps & websites but the problem for Phoenix is the smoke isn't affecting the air quality so they say the AQI and PM are good/moderate. It's still hazey & smokey here but it's not affecting numbers. It has something to do with where the smoke is in the ozone. But it still affects "a very small amount…
-
3 miles today. It was a struggle. The smoke here is getting better but you can still see haze. I didn't get out yesterday because I woke up feeling cruddy (yay allergies/asthma/smoke). So I DNF'd Boston 🤷🏼♀️ Pretty typical for me and the marathon distance. Sept total 21.6
-
I get premier protein caramel at Costco. I tried the chocolate but prefer caramel. Still has that protein shake after taste thougj
-
I may end up DNF'ing Boston. We went for a short hike this morning and I'll go out tomorrow to hopefully get the last 4+ miles in. 🤞🏻 ETA I need 4.25 tomorrow. Easy peasy. I had hoped to finish this weekend though.

We have had a few scorpions in the house this year, mostly the garage, dining room and master bath. They recently dug up the canal near us and moved it which I'm sure disturbed them. I also noticed our bathroom needs to be recaulked. It's starting to separate from the baseboard. Sigh. I hate home ownership sometimes.
