I just lost my Paraguard; it was spontaneously expelled after 5 years. I just replaced it with Mirena. I LOVED my Paraguard, EXCEPT for the long, heavy periods and HORRIFIC cramping pain every month.

And I DID NOT gain it back! Only a few pounds over time due to loss of control. But it didn't all just jump back on me. It was real loss. DRINK A LOT OF WATER.

I'm starting tomorrow. I did ten days about ten months ago. It was hell, but I lost 11 pounds... but more importantly, it's a head game. It made me realize I had more control over my food intake than I thought I did. What a great booster and re-set.

I'm 5'1" (almost!) and I started at 150. Now I'm about 133. I want to be where you are, under 120-- awesome! :)

Oh no! Type 2? Can it be controlled with drugs, or just diet? Losing weight can eliminate diabetes-- my father did it.

Thanks to both of you for replying. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Maybe you're right-- taking more pictures should help, and realizing that what I see is likely not the current reality; instead, it is probably left over from how I always saw myself before.

Quorn is actually made from mushroom/fungi protein! It is delicious but expensive. Just look in your grocer's frozen section-- there are many brands of frozen meat substitutes in crumbles or balls or patties. I love artichoke burgers!

That's really interesting, because I am about the same height and weight, but I wear a 6-8 right now. Huh.

I am around 135 right now, and I want to be 105! But seriously, if I see sub-120 I will be thrilled. If I see mid-120s I think I should be happy with that.

This is true. Sorry to be the one naysayer, but eating tuna daily means exposing yourself to high levels of mercury. You should limit yourself for your own safety to a couple of times a week. Here is a chart: http://www.nrdc.org/health/effects/mercury/tuna.asp

I get your point, BUT isn't the point calories-in, calories-out? You will still lose weight when you eat less crap! It's a continuum, right?
