I had this problem as well, although my period was usually quite sporadic anyway. My mom had a period where she didn't get it for a few years, went to the doctor and everything was fine. She was just very active and had no problem having children once it returned. Mine was absent for 1 year and 5 months, and I just got it…

i also work at a bridal store and see all kinds of body types....and NO ONE looks like me.....i have this lower stomach pooch that won't go away and its very disproportionate to the rest of my body. most girls either have fat all of their stomach, or none at all.

thanks everyone! I guess the other problem is that I am comparing myself to my skinnier self, and know I probably won't get there ever again. I literally need to lose one inch to fit back into all of my pants, but it just won't budge at all

is it really true about the whole "eat as many raw nuts as you want" thing? I love nuts but I don't want to gain weight!

thanks everyone. i am going to steadily up my cals. either im too low or too high because my body tries to compensate. i think i need to find a balance, actually stop logging every bite, and put the scale away for a little while.

i would say so i guess. i was stupid the first time i wanted to lose weight and kept reducing lower and lower to around 800 a day. I felt okay minus some crankiness, and i figured "oh my metabolism must suck guess this is the amount i need". i didn't know about starvation mode but now i do and im worried that i totally…

i was the same weight and then i went up and no matter what i do it won't go back down....im finding myself losing will power that i had for a solid 1.5 yrs. I upped my cals because they were a little too low, and I stayed around 112-113, but then christmas came it went up to 118. now no matter how vigilant i am it won't…

Thanks for your input everyone! I noticed that eating more protein/fat keeps my cravings at bay. I think that I am EXTREMELY carb/sugar sensitive. Even a piece of gum is enough to have me craving a whole pack. My diet has always been pretty healthy, and I just want to lose those last 5 pounds. I find that even though I…

^ this. I went vegetarian/pescatarian first. I enjoy fruits and veg so this wasn't really a problem. And I like being creative to make vegan versions of my normal favorites. I still eat some cooked food and everything is going well. I did it to help my digestive system and it definitely helped! I still eat fish on the rare…

and im gluten intolerant as well. I forgot to mention that.

I know, I was just saying that lactose is a no-no for me anyway. I have slow digestion so eating meat makes me feel really heavy and lethargic unless its fish.

26, but I REALLY want to be 24.5. It is so annoying I gain all my weight in my stomach and bloat at the slightest morsel of food.

I eat a lot of veggies, but I think I may need to increase my protein a little bit as well as healthy fats. I seem to be on the low side!

Eliminating grains doesn't automatically make you low carb - aren't you eating vegetables, beans, lentils and milk? These are all good sources of carbs, the beans and lentils are the best substitute being a rich source of carbs, fibre and minerals. Whilst healthy, fruit is not a direct replacement for wholegrains…

thanks! I never really had sugar cravings until I cut out a majority of my grains, and fruits and sorbet don't quench my cravings. I am going to try to incorporate more whole grains into my diet.
