Yeah so yesterday’s weigh in.... thanks for the hugs. It’s been a rough week. We hosted my husband’s parents siblings and their combined 8 kids so we had 13 kids and 8 adults under one roof for 4 days. Like anything worthwhile, it was hard work and also fun. We had a lot of restaurant/feed a crowd meals so there was that,…

Exercise: long workout 🏋🏻♀️ focusing on back and legs, plus 20 min on elliptical, so I added 100 calories to my goal today. Eating: on target and I feel good Weight: down 2 pounds, normal monthly fluctuation

Hope I’m in the right group because you all are marvelous! This is my first time in a challenge group but I’ve been on MFP for 6 years at least. I’m from Texas and have 5 kids, and married for 17 years to the love of my life. I’m pretty tall, 5’10, and I just moved to a new house this winter and gained 6 pounds in a month,…

Good job! You look fab! Do you work out when you kids are napping, or what have you found has worked for you? How tall are you if you don’t mind my asking?
-
Wow that is a big change in a month. Keep up the good work!

I’m 5’11” 170 pounds looking to lose 10. I’ve already lost 55 (well, 80 if you count my highest weight the day I last gave birth but I don’t count my weight until a month postpartum) I lost 25 pounds on a Keto diet, another 25 counting calories. Now I’m struggling with these last 10!
-
Wow! Way to go!

I love how you put this. I can see how some would be worried that you are setting yourself up as a victim of a disease but I think it’s more of an honest, gentle way of dealing with your strengths and weaknesses. I especially love the idea that a binge is just a flare up, not an indicator of moral failings at large! I’ve…

Makes me want to get some red lipstick! You look trim and healthy. And your sense of humor is great!

Great work! The “slow” progress is a gentler, more natural, and hopefully more permanent lifestyle change. I’m 10 pounds from goal weight and it’s take me 4 years to lose about 65 like you!! So to me you are a speed ball! And looking fabulous too 😃

5’10.5” here. Highest non-pregnancy weight was 215. I messed around with Keto, dropped 20. Started exercising and counting calories (no off-limits food) and dropped another 20. My goal is 160, and my monthly average weight has been 174 for a year. A YEAR people. I’m beyond calling it a plateau. Maybe this is just my…

Major difference! And it sounds like you are enjoying the journey too!

Thanks so much for your post! I’m also 36 years old, 5’10” and have had 5 c-sections. Love lifting!! Glad to see others who lose it slowly. I’ve been around the same weight for a year. But I’ve lost a pant size. So weird but I’ll take it.
-
You look awesome!! May I ask how tall you are?
-
I’m 5’11 and 175 and I do NOT look as good as you do. Great results! Thanks for the inspiration
I am now at 212, i have been at this weight for about 2 years now. still have a long way to go but the difference is huge:
Maintaining for that long is proof of a true lifestyle change! Congrats!

You are so beautiful! That is an amazing journey! How long have you been working at it? I love your tank top too

I’ve lost 25 pounds since last year and found many of the same things already posted. The weirdest thing for me was being able to go bra-less comfortably. After being pregnant or breastfeeding or 50 pounds overweight my entire adult life, I wore a bra every waking moment. Now it’s not an emergency the moment I wake up to…

I just love the pictures of the fat cell. It’s adorable watching it try to justify its existence by holding on to water. So when someone starts a new diet and they have that initial x pounds of weight loss and they get excited and others say “it’s JUST water weight” would that be fat cells becoming depleted or does that…

Curiousity. I started out by just wondering what would happen if I did some excercise each day and stopped eating till I hurt. I also had goals, but it was more like "I wonder if this goal will mess with my head or help keep me dedicated?" Curiousity about different ways of eating instead of my decade-long dogma that low…

Exciting to see everyone's progress!! I'm 5'10 started around 196 this January and just hit 176 this week. YAYYYY! Goal weight is 145 because I actually have a smallish frame.

I love my AW. I got a mild rash from the sport band but the regular white band has been fine. And it doesn't seem any less comfortable while running or lifting. I have never used another tracker, but the super customizable watchface is amazing for me. I have my activity circles, date, workout, and even calendar reminders…

I will add that I was unprepared for the overcompensation my other muscles would make when my core was totally shredded (in a bad way). I have had terrible squat form and I'm working on fixing it. And leg lifts while lying flat on my back! 6 months ago I couldn't do a single one. After a lot of struggle though I can do 30…

I've had 5 c-sections and hit about 240 pounds with each child. My goal weight is 160 and I'm 5' 10". I still have the pouch and I'm down to 177. Like someone else said, in a well-cut pair of pants I can't tell it's there. If I'm wearing clothes that make my pouch obvious, them I'm probably not wearing enough clothes.

Went to my kid's doctor for her annual well-check and the pediatrician looked at me and said, "wow! You look terrific! Have you lost weight?" I told her I had lost 20 pounds. She asked what I was doing and I said just exercising and being careful about what I eat. She nodded knowingly and said "sounds like all the right…

Love hearing all the hiking stories. Living in Houson away from my native Utah I miss mountains
