Keep at it OP! I have a lot of trigger foods I have yet to come to terms with. I keep thinking "Oh, it won't happen this time." At the moment, I have been practicing mindfulness to help keep me from getting swallowed up in the whole ordeal. Your chart system keeps you held accountable which rocks! I personally have been…

I dream of a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods :'( At least we have a Costco which has introduced me to many great new products.

Set a deadline, say 1 month to get that done. It will motivate you more. Without a set date you lose focus. If you want some great inspiration try listening to Chalene Johnson's podcast. It has pushed me to look passed 12" in front of me and strive to do more. Dreams can be accomplished with the right drive. You've got…

For my 5:30am class I take 1M.R. 1/2 scoop because I don't give myself enough time to let coffee cool. Other days I drink 1- 1 1/2 cups of coffee. During and post workout I have BCAA AMINOX from BSN. I hold out to eat for hours practicing IF on most days while drinking BCAA throughout the day.

I would also question the fiber difference. I would suggest a good probiotic to account for the change in diet and a big ol' cup of black coffee. Does it for me every time. That and a lot more water. Infuse fruit in your water to make it easier to gulp down. If I drink 1.5 L it will flush me out like magic. Edit: Maybe…

Thank you for the thoughts. Sometimes I think I'm just better at following direction than I am at leading. I get overwhelmed with the thoughts of legal paper work and how to start that I just paralyze myself. In my own job I just do what I am told and good at it. It pays ok, too. I just don't have the energy for customer…

You used up your easy energy sources that was feeding your muscles and the brain. Assuming you don't have any medical issues rest, electrolytes, and sugars unless you're a fat-burner. How's your blood pressure? Faint if you stand up? May I suggest taking tomorrow off as well.

Hi everyone! Trying to waste time and not think about food. This seems innocent enough! Currently reside it Wisconsin and have beautiful heat for once! Recently found a passion with crossfit and want to get certified in personal training and/or nutrition. Something about heath and fitness excite me. I never found anything…

You're fine. We seem to forget that cholesterol is a building block for hormones. There is good and bad stuff. Trans fat are the enemy now. Deep fried and margarines. If you want to add an extra punch to your nutrition look for local eggs or pastured raised.

Can also blend the cottage cheese and add like a ranch seasoning for substitute ranch dressing. Add a little milk or water to get your preferred consistency. I suppose you could also add oil for healthy fats though I have not tried that yet.

I'll chew on some gum to keep my mouth occupied.

I have a FitBit Flex. I find its pretty accurate for most things. However, I gain steps when I scratch my dog on occasion. I had to replace it because it couldn't hold a charge for longer than a day within the year. Customer service was fantastic though and they shipped me a new one stat. It now lasts 5-7 days without…

I think go with your gut instinct on this. If its too good to be true it probably is. Great flavor without calories and no repercussions? The jury IS still out on this topic because the tests run are being done by the food companies where money is the pull, not your health. Now for you it comes down to the level of…

Yeah, I have been noticing a bit of that. They are quick and intense workouts but I can still fit in other things without compromising. I think the coaches are training for competitions and will do the real WOD twice throughout the day. I am enjoying it though and may get a little obsessive. However, its been awhile since…

How much water did you drink before going to bed? In comparison to the night before that is.

I second the counseling. Eating is a major coping mechanism. I have found myself going blind on mad binges and they were not just innocent little had "I TWO brownies". I would eat half a box of cereal and finish jars of peanut butter. I would feel ill but still cram another handful because I felt pleasure from the food.…

Thanks everyone! I had my second class yesterday and off today. My legs were a little jelly like getting started yesterday so I suppose it was not too bad of work that first day. Second day was similar to the first in length but I held back on doing more afterwards. (I knew I'd be on my feet all day for work anyway.)…

Today was my second day and my legs kinda felt like jelly doing the WOD even though I've been working out most days of the week. Yeah, they start with the techniques and warm-ups. Its only 30mins total so can only do so much. I'm glad to know its just a starting thing.

You can over do it with some of those vitamins. The smart approach is to figure out what you are deficient in and fill in the gaps individually. If you eat health enough you don't need a daily multi. If you do take one everyday and already eat sufficient amounts of say vitamin A and constantly adding to it, your body will…

I would suggest drinking it slowly. Also, if you take fish oil or other healthy fats with it, my belief is that it slows the uptake of the caffeine hence the popularity of Bulletproof coffee. (Its a coffee blended with oils and grass-fed butter.) I've tried it before and it really does stunt the anxiety and jitters of too…

I think its an interesting concept. The science following gut flora is finding interesting behavioral changes as well. Something about the excretions of bad bacteria poisoning our neurons. Some are theorizing that our foods contribute to our gut health and in turn can manipulate our thoughts and action. The mentally ill,…

Orgy - Probably more from Vapor Transmission if you're looking for up beat though won't go wrong with "Blue Monday" Pusifer - "Toma" that song comes on and I go harder at whatever I am doing, "Trekka" works for running but not sure which version/mix Innerpartysystem - "Obsession" Some songs of Tool, NIN, Black Light Burns,…

I know a guy that does a similar job. Despite his love of beer and mid-western foods he is pretty thin. This would explain it! I need to hide a pedometer on him because now I'm super curious.

You may need to try reverse dieting. You slowly add back the calories to your maintenance level (50-100 cal per day added each week). I personally have troubles not counting and have been trying to get back into it myself.

56 to 60, depends on the amount of caffeine I've had.

They sell little fridges powered by your cars A/C power input. Pretty nifty if you wanted to invest. May save you $ if you don't have to buy lunch all the time.

This may seem a little off the wall but do you take fish oil and vitamin D? It sounds like a chemical imbalance postpartum. Depression can hit the best of us. Most of us are Vitamin D deficient and fish oil is a great compliment because its fat-soluble. May I recommend reading on the benefits on examine.com ? I have been…

Ok, that is true but the point is that we don't build fat cells from eating in surplus. Replenishing cells sure but if our bodies were trying to conserve energy it wouldn't expend energy on building if it didn't have to.

OP I give you mad props for pursuing a healthier lifestyle. A woman's body needs "flab" to keep us thriving. Best of luck to your goals. Don't be discouraged by the mirror or how your clothes fit.
-
Also to remember is that we have the same amount of fat cells at 100lb as we do 200lb. They just enlarge. (I'm 85% confident about that remembering from school years.) So its not like the body needs to BUILD fat it just contributes to it.
