  • I too would put the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough as pretty fantastic. (Granted I was super hungry when I had it for the first time.) It was like eating raw cookie dough. I had a small amount of grit to it, but like mentioned before, totally worth the price. The Chocolate Brownie however was just a brick of chocolate. I will…
  • Got first place in the Scaled Women division yesterday! It was originally a 2 day comp but turn out was oddly poor. We did 6 WODs in one day ( two which were a minute long). There were 8 in my division and pretty nervous because there are a few power girls while I'm just a speed girl. Needless to say I'm pretty sore right…
  • I personally need more structure. Sure I can do body weight movements (push-ups, air squats, lunges, etc) well but afraid of looking like an idiot picking up anything heavy. I joined a crossfit box and now I feel like a beast. Every class you have a coach that corrects your form and spots you.
  • I did Murph for the first time the weekend before, cycling through the movements (5,10,15 X20) with palm straps and still managed to rip on my fingers. Made it under 50 mins without the vest. Repeated on Monday only we couldn't break it up so we teamed up on the pull-ups. After completing I regret not doing all the…
  • If I'm on top of things, I bake a few frozen breast at 350*F for 55min or so. I just bought a oven safe thermometer to make sure its cooked through without over-drying it. I make big batches of spices that I just shake over the chicken and throw into the oven. Some weeks I'll cook up some lentils that I season and separate…
  • Got a pair of No Bulls. They are not as minimal shoe as my old New Balance Minimus but it makes them great for running along with other movements. My next wishlist shoe is a decent lifter. I need to really throw out my NB because the No Bulls are far better.

  • You have to let it sit and thaw a little. Or nuke it for a few seconds. They didn't want to add extras like emulsifiers so it leaves it solid like a rock straight out of the freezer.
  • I want to live at your house! Phish Food oh man!
  • My guess is they are trying to lower production costs. Cheaper ingredients more net worth.
  • First time in the open and got this in 16:37. This sucked at 6am. I might try again tomorrow a little later in the morning. We'll see. Thrusters felt very nasty.

  • Got to HSPU at Rx with 14 seconds and couldn't get up. Ugh. I was going to try it again same day but never got motivated enough to get my butt back into the gym. I really had Wall Balls!

  • My attempt at muscle ups... I call this the sloth technique. Did scale for 124 and won't get a chance to try it again but I'm ok with that. My forearms were burnt.

  • I did scale and got stuck on the 135lb cleans. I had nearly 5 mins to get it up and just couldn't. Can't complain though, I got through the 115lb when previously 105lb was my 1RM! I attempted Rx but my DU are just terrible.

  • I like to mix 20g powder to 5 oz plain greek yogurt for a real protein bomb (really any protein powder works well this way). It makes a mousse or cheesecake texture that feels indulgent. I like to sprinkle a little sea salt on top to give me the real PB bite.
  • I should really know better than to buy clearanced protein bars but it was too hard to resist! GNC had these and the macros were pretty solid. 180cal for 20g protein, stevia sweetened. But ewww. I nuked up half and then I could taste some of the peanut flavor but overall a no. Somewhat like the Pure Protein bars in…
  • I did scale because my C2B is not yet there. I just started unassisted pull-ups and its not quite chest level yet. I didn't even attempt OH lunges. I did Scaled and got 250rep. It was exactly 8 lunges to cover the 25. Pretty happy with the score but really makes me think I should have tried Rx.

  • Tried the peanut butter one so far from my two. Softer but flavor is milder than the original. It's like eating a sugar cookie with a nut aftertaste. The original was more like a peanut butter cookie though harder. I'd take the old texture back for this flavor.
  • At first I thought it tasted a lot like cashew butter but looking at the ingredients it was sunflower nut butter. The color of sunflower butter is kind of grayish so it wasn't a pretty bar. Also oily. It had somewhat of a caramel flavor but mostly nutty. Texture was soft but solid. At the cost of about twice the amount of…
  • OMG saw this here and HAD to find it. There was one place not far from me! I think I have a guardian angel. They only had Vanilla, Chocolate and Lemon. I tried the vanilla last night and I enjoyed it so much. At $5.69 a pint it will be my ice cream out treat, which is about how much I spend at the local serve yourself…
  • Sure. How much protein would you say is in them? Anything 10g and under is like a granola bar to me. If its at 20g than they only really need half a serving. A lot of other factors can change the suggestion but you are 98% ok with them eating it.
  • I've heard of a woman getting a consult with all of the great lawyers in the area just so he couldn't lawyer up with them. Something about conflict of interest. Its a sick move but hey if you're gonna bite do it right.
  • I imagine its common to those that strict diet for the wedding. Your body kind of gets a shock once your goal of 1200 cal goes to +2000 cal . Also to mention long term relationships are prone to eating out more. Not saying this is your case but at your 125lb your divorce diet had about the same outcome. Good luck with your…
  • The "Weekend Warrior" method makes you more prone to injury if you try to make up for all the days you were not working out. Either go to bed early and get it out of the way before work or have a small snack after work and head straight to the gym. Full-time single mothers make it work.
  • When is the last time you two actually communicated yourself? I mean dig deep. Divorce is not cheap and gets nasty. You both feel neglected and it may be a passive-aggressive stand off. Throw in the towel, sure but a lot, and I mean a LOT of relationships have gotten over infidelity once they sucked it up and made the…
  • Therapy is different for each individual person from each method of therapist. All you can do is keep an open mind. It is also fair to say that "healthy weight" may be completely subjectively different than what you doctor believes. ED can really mess with a person's standards and self-image. You may be encouraged to still…
  • I tried these as a first sardine and ugh. I do not like sardines. Can check those off the list. Are you saying chicken of the sea has less bones or Wild Planet? I kept feeling the spines of the fish.
  • I'm am just going to set this here as a tool for you as a mother. http://www.chalenejohnson.com/podcasts/never-ever-call-a-kid-fat/ First off, she is 100% aware she is overweight. You and the doctor telling her she is can only make her more self-conscious. Its terrible to tell her to hit the treadmill when the first thing…
  • Blue Apron has been pretty nice for my husband and I. It stops us from going out to eat more and the cost fits that replacement. (Well we could go out or make a dinner we already paid for that could spoil if we don't make it tonight). They always send dishes I would never have thought. Polenta? I've never heard of until we…
  • Thank you moe for your spreadsheet. I always have to remind myself its about doing the best you can for yourself instead of getting stuck with numbers. It was much easier when I would just run. I'll have to play around with this little calculator. I love spreadsheets!
  • Oh neat! Thanks! Any flavors you have tried that you would recommend/not recommend?
