MM: If you're not feeling relief soon, I'd recommend seeing a chiropractor. I thought I'd tough it out with some back pain a couple months ago, but it just wouldn't go away. My wife convinced me to go to her chiro, and I noticed a difference right away... but I still can't do 58 pushups! :flowerforyou: Marla: I'd like to…

"PRESENT!":drinker: keiko: In golf, even more important than pushups is exercise for the muscle between your ears  Pushups will help because they strengthen many of the muscles used in the golf swing...just don't keep score. I haven't logged pushups in awhile, but I'm still at it - week 5, day 1. I got further…

:embarassed: Ladies, ladies ... Please excuse me for interrupting. (Actually, talking about pushups seems kind of boring now) Anyway, yesterday I started week 5 at level 3: 36 40 30 24 30 (+ 10 after rest - min 40) Still having trouble knocking out the last set - makes my manboobs droopy just thinking about it :frown:

Keep up the good work everybody. I don't know what % of people can get to 100 pushups in 6 weeks, but my guess is that it's about as many as palm trees in Alaska.:noway: Decided to do the post-week 4 test today and got to 50. My initial test was 36, so I'm happy to see progress. I'm going to try week 5 level 3…

Same results today :explode: 29 33 29 29 35 OK - I'm  but next week's another week. See ya'll Tues.:drinker:

I think I'll give it a go next week, keiko, even if I can't hit the max for week 4 on Saturday. I didn't do it yesterday, but I came closer: 29 33 29 29 35 (max. 40) Day 3 for me is Saturday, so I'll try it one more time

Congrats keiko, on getting to week 5. I'm still stuck in week 4. My work schedule has thrown my routine off this week. I'm at week 4, day 3 level 3 and couldn't get to it yesterday til later than usual. 29 33 29 29 33 + 10 after rest (min.40) Still tryin

MM: I don't think you oughtta worry bout me getting there first. I repeated week 4, day 3, level 3 today with similar results: 29 33 29 29 32 + 10 after rest (min. 40):noway: I may be here for awhile:yawn: But Tuesday is another day. Hope ya'll have a great weekend.

Welcome to all the new folks. I was new myself just a couple weeks ago ... looks as though I'm rapidly gaining seniority  I'm not gaining strength rapidly though - my week 4, day 3 level 3 results: 29 33 29 29 30 (+10 after rest) min. 40 That last set always kills me.

Good idea on starting a new thread, MM. And I'm impressed with your progress - you'll be wearing that T-shirt in no time. Today I was finally able to complete the week 4 day 2 level 3 workout ... (barely). 25 29 25 25 36 I thought I was gonna die. But I added another 40 after cardio. So I feel my future's pretty bright too…

My week 4 day 2 effort: 25 29 25 25 25 + 12 after resting 20 seconds (min 36) I added something else to my routine. I usually do pushups the same day I do cardio. I might warm up on my elliptical trainer for 5 - 10 minutes, do my pushups and then do 30 minutes on the elliptical. Today, after the cardio workout, I added…

Another disappointing attempt at Week 4, Day 2 : 25 29 25 25 21 (rest) + 12 more. But you're right, MM, ya gotta repeat and JUST DO IT! So I'll be back here on Saturday. keiko: thanks for the tip on the
-
I can see that I'll be staying with week 4 for awhile. 25 29 25 25 30 (min 36)javascript:add_smiley('cry','post_body') ...and I haven't figured out how to post those emoticons yet either. CRAP!

Way to go, MM. I repeated week 4, day 2, level 3 again but was still short by 6 on that last set. I rested 10 seconds and then finished, but I'm going to repeat that workout until I do it w/o a break. Talk at ya'll next week.

Hope you're feeling better cp005e. It's good to know that I'm not the only one experiencing setbacks. Well yesterday, I tried week 4 day 2 but missed the min. on the last set by 6. I'm going to give it another shot tomorrow - I tried it later in the day than normal, and I just think I need to stick to mornings. Anybody…

Good morning everybody. This morning did week 4. day 1, level 3: 21 25 21 21 33 (min.32) That last set took it out of me.
-
OK - was able to complete day 3 of week 3: 22 30 20 20 30 (min28) - (glad nobody was taking pictures of that last set). Did somebody say double sets in week 5? Gives me something to look forward to ... I will take the time to appreciate week 4. You guys are an inspiration!

Coincidentally, I was just interrupted by the unmistakable, spasmodic sound of our cat about to hurl a furball onto the carpet. (Few things can get me to move that fast). This morning I repeated the Week 3 Day 2 workout with better results: 20 25 15 15 26 I'll try Day 3 on Saturday. Look out for those wet spots!

Hey cp005e, what about dreaded week3? My first week (Week 3, Day 3, Column 3) results: 22 30 20 20 20 max (should be 28) I'm thinking about repeating Week 3, Day 3 until I'm able to max at more than 28 rather than starting from Day 1... but I'm open to persuasion ... even derision.
-
Let's keep it up everybody! Week 3 day 2: 20 25 15 15 20 - should have been 25 but the sun was in my eyes.
-
Great job everybody. Today was day 1 for me - starting with the week 3 workout: 14 18 14 14 and finally 17 - couldn't do 20. Maybe I should have done the pushups BEFORE doing the Biggest Loser cardio workout(?)
-
Hey keiko: Thanks for the welcome. I'm trying for the time being to stay away from 6-packs, so I'll pass on the sit up challenge for now. I did 35 pushups this morning, which I think puts me in the neighborhood of level 58 ... or am I thinking about my age?

Just got on the site this morning and found this post. Y'all are an inspirational bunch. Hope you don't mind if I join. Thanks cp005e for starting this. Keep up the good work!
