My TDEE -20% is almost 1700 and at first I really struggled to eat that much. It took me about a week to adjust but now there are days where I can easily go over. Going under a little isn't a bad thing but going under by 500 calories daily isn't good. Enjoy eating!!!

I sure hope it's ok because I run about 4-5 miles everyday with maybe a day off once a month. I love to run so I hope it's fine to do everyday.

I'm 5'4" and 125 with my goal weight being 121. My TDEE -20% is 1623, -15% is 1725 and -10% is 1826. I'm meticulous about weighing everything so I know I'm accurate in my logging but it's my running that I'm not sure about. I run at a pretty big incline and the speed is in between the numbers MFP gives me so I really don't…

I lost almost 75 pounds and got back to my pre-pregnancy weight eating only 1200 calories a day but once I hit my goal weight and I starting eating just a few hundred more calories a day I gained 20 pounds. I've lost 15 pounds using the TDEE -20% method so I eat between 1650-1700 calories a day. Eating 1200 calories…

Considering I'm a little over 5'4" I was really hoping to join this thread to see some realistic expectations but the people that think 5'4" and under around 100 pounds is healthy is very upsetting. That is extremely low BMI and it's very unhealthy. It's extremely upsetting seeing people actually support each other in this…

I love reading these success stories! It gives me the confidence to go up. Baby steps but I did take in about 50 more calories today than I did yesterday. Thank you everyone!!!
-
I'm not sure what kind of fat it is honestly but it sure does taste good! I got in an extra long run today so I think I will treat myself. Thank you everyone!

I weigh myself everyday even though I know it would be better if I just did it once a week. It is a bad addiction that is hard to break!!! It is really frustrating to see it go up even if I worked out really hard and ate well the day before but it's even more rewarding when the number goes down :).
-
Honestly I'm beginning to think that might be me as well. I gained 75 pounds when I was pregnant with our oldest daughter and I never tried to lose it until we had our second daughter. I lost some during my pregnancy with our son but I gained it all back when I got pregnant with our youngest. After I gave birth to her I…

You can definitely add me too! I have 8 1/2 pounds to lose and it seems like I have been gaining and losing the same three pounds for the last two months. It is crazy!!!
-
Thank you so much everyone! It's actually about 1 pound a week, sometimes a little less. It has definitely been coming off slower though! I think I'll try TDEE -15% for a few weeks and see what happens. I don't care if I only lose two pounds in a month. As long as it keeps coming off I'll be happy!

Shameless bump for help needed :).

Thank you for your replies everyone! Since I have decided to stop weighing myself everyday I am a little nervous about my weekly weigh in. I have felt a little helpless not weighing myself everyday but I'm going to keep trying. I plateaued for several weeks eating about 1550 calories so I upped it about 100 hoping to see a…

I don't think you're eating enough. I'm 5'4" too and about 136 pounds and I'm moderately active. My TDEE -20% is almost 1700 calories. If you're eating only 1380 calories and not eating any exercise calories back you are probably eating below your BMR, which you shouldn't do for too long. I'm a big believer in TDEE because…

I stalled at 1600-1700 calories so people suggested I eat at maintenance for a week (about 2000 calories) but to not weigh in for at least a week. It will be tough to do but I'm going to try!
-
I haven't done that. Should I? My maintenance is almost 2100 calories so I would have to go up about 350 calories, which is a little scary!
-
You guys are awesome, thank you so much for your advice. You have made me feel much better. I will probably go down 100 calories and see how that works because it did work for awhile. I just wanted to see if it was normal to gain a little when you raised your calories.

I look at the scale but I typically just go by how my clothes feel, and they are definitely tighter. I did recalculate my TDEE after I lost my initial six pounds but it didn't change much. I am 39, 5'4" and 130 pounds. I entered moderately active on Scooby's since I run everyday and I'm always on my feet chasing after our…

I think I'm losing confidence because I'm gaining, which never happened before. Even if I lost 1/2 pound every two weeks I would be thrilled but gaining really stinks. I've been netting right at 1400 calories a day and eating about 1700. I run about 3.5 miles everyday too. If I was eating crap and not working out then I…

That article confused me a bit. My goal is 122 so I now know to make it 117. That makes sense. What I want to know is should I go back to eating 1500 calories a day or keep at 1700 and hope that I stop gaining? My Saturday weigh in was 130.
-
Well I hope I have better luck. After plateauing for several weeks after eating 1200 calories I tried TDEE -20%. I plateaued again after losing six pounds so I upped my calories from 1550 calories a day to 1700 since I am closer to my goal. I still run everyday and eat the same but now I'm gaining :(.
-
I actually lost right away but I plateaued after losing about six pounds so I went to TDEE -15% but I've been gaining so I'm not sure what's going on. It worked for awhile though :).
-
I really hope you ladies can help me because I can't get any help on the board. I am a little over 5'4" and I am 130 pounds. I lost about five pounds using TDEE -20% and got down to 128. My TDEE is 1675 and I lost the weight eating about 1600 calories. The past three weeks though I have gained two pounds eating the same…

Shameless bump for advice :)
-
8 pounds...but it's been that way for awhile now.
-
Thank you for your response! Any others?
-
I'm right there with you because my scale has been stuck too! While I would really like to see the number go down as long as my clothes keep getting looser I'm ok with it. You're doing great though!

Today I went Whole Foods and bought these pistachio vanilla cookies. I think they we recalled Irene's cookies. I had never tried them before but when I saw that they were only 25 calories per biscotti, hsd no fat and were sodium free I had to at least give them a try. They were delicious! They were also pretty big, which…

Thank you everyone for your responses, I really do appreciate them! I'll go up to TDEE -15% and slowly go up to -10% over the next few weeks and hope that works. Thanks again!

6 pounds in a month is amazing, I would be thrilled! Like everyone else said, you really need to eat more. You are working way too hard without enough fuel.
