  • I just signed up for PIIT 28 and the 28 day reset, and am starting them both tomorrow [April 1st]. I love Cassey, and I think she makes a great workout routine.
  • I was in the same place! I looked down at the scale one morning, and there it was - 200lbs. I'm 5'7", and I started my journey to never see those numbers again! I'm currently at 187, and am training for a marathon in November - so we could at least motivate each other for the running portion :)
  • Hello April! I would also love to be your buddy! I started at 200, and my goal is to get down to 150 - Ive dropped as low as 174, but I've slowly built back up to 185 again, so I'm renewing my efforts. I also have an upcoming wedding that would be wonderful to get down to goal for!
  • Hello from Gwinnett! I started with 70 to lose, and am about 22 lbs down, so about the same goals are you at this point! Lets do this!
  • Hello from a fellow Gwinnettian! You can do this!
  • Jaybird Bluebuds X. Three different earpiece sizes that are very soft, three wing sizes that are very soft, bluetooth - and you can tighten them around the back of your neck so they don't budge at all. The neck wire can be over ear or under ear, so basically, very customizable. They don't make your ears hurt like a lot of…
  • TIP: Eat your workout calories! :)
  • Which is fine. *LIKE* If you want to make sub-comparisons within, based on distance or speed or location or age or what have you, more power to you. But to strip one of the very identity of being a runner, just because they don't run just like you do? I just don't think there is any benefit to that.
  • Im sure some would say that a "real runner" feels no need to race - they only run for the pure unadulterated pleasure of the run itself.
  • I guess I interpreted your question as a reflection of your opinion. My apologies.
  • I think this a wonderful conversation we're all having. I wish MFP had a like button.
  • I didn't say they're comparable. I just think that they're all part of this little club we call runners. There are plenty of ways to further divide within it you wanted to, but to say that you can't belong to the club at all if you don't run ultras, or if you don't run outside or inside or on the moon - not cool.
  • I see what you're saying. I consider myself to be a runner. I know other people might not, because I don't run super long distances, or because I haven't run any races yet, or because I haven't been at it for a really long time. But I consider myself to be a runner, and I think I meet the minimum criteria. I run three…
  • Yes, I am. I can't think of any perceptible benefit of further subdividing the subculture of runners by making it some kind of exclusive club only accessible by those who meet the ever-changing requirements of it's other members. Im sure every single one of us who considers ourselves to be runners would find that there are…
  • If you run, you're a runner. I don't think theres any need to further divide...
  • Good job! Keep plugging away at that C25k! I just started week three, and I still get giddy with every new minute of running I successfully complete :)
  • I use a multifunction leash: So I don't have to hold a leash. My phone stays in an armband, and I clip my keys to my waist belt, my leash or tuck in my bra.
  • HAHA, just saw this comment after I posted mine. Which means...there is more than one. AWESOME!
  • I can verify this. I work in the court system. We had a defendant who's name was La-a. And she said, head bobbing and all: "cuz THE DASH A'INT SILENT". I will say that I feel as though the weirder names have a high incidence in the court system. Cocaine was a recent one.
  • I feel your pain. I've been fighting my own semi-annual battle for years now - every since high school I guess. I feel different this time, so this time is different. I've always approached things from a place of fear - I don't want to do A B or C because I look like X. And it's kept me from truly living. I went out a few…
  • Thank you! :)
  • Every Friday night, for a week of hard-earned goal meeting, my partner and I go out for Sushi. Always within our allowances, but something that we don't get without meeting out weekly goals :)
  • I'm not going to read the replies prior to my own - Im sure there's been a fair amount of banter both ways, and maybe even some drama! Another day in the life of the MFP boards :) ... There's a big difference between loving your body, no matter what size, and loving YOURSELF. As one of MFP friends recently reminded me,…
  • First off, that is really horrible that he did that to you - I can only imagine how heartbreaking that was. Second, I totally support this endeavor! I was always such an introvert around guys when I was in school, and when I bought my house, I felt like I was going to end up being an old cat lady who would die alone - and…
  • I have a 32 ounce water bottle - the kind with a straw. It's a contigo - I swear by it. But anyway, I fill it up once at 8am and again at 3 or so - gets in my 64 ounces. I used to be JUST like you - I swear, evolved from the desert! I wouldn't drink an ounce all day - I guess I tried to get it from the foods that I ate.
  • I used to be scale obsessed. And the more I learned here, the more I was able to control the roller coaster of emotions that kept me hopping on and off the scale. I mean, if burning a pound of fat requires a deficit of 3500 calories - it's definitely not going to happen in a day. Any significant fluctuations are just…
  • Im going to confirm the Wendy's chili - at our store, it was anything that was overcooked, the patty got damaged or fell apart during cooking due to rough handling, or it was not used in a timely manner (we really did stick to that "made fresh" rule, but only because there were always patties cooking, so a fresh one was…
