Don't give up. push through being sore, after the warm up you should feel alright. Everyone's body does that when adjusting to something new. You just gotta push through it and it will go away.

I'd take out the rice completely. I LOVE rice it is seriously my favorite, I mean FAVORITE food. But it is very high in calories, and depending on what kind of rice. It can also be very unhealthy as well.

BMI also has a lot to do with muscle. The BMI calculator pretty much only calculates fat. I could lose weight, then gain it back in muscle (which I have) and my bmi would still be the same on these calculators. I'm a little over a year without soda. It was the first thing I cut out... it was a little hard at first but now I don't want anything but water. I tried drinking a Dr. Pepper not to long ago cause there was nothing else and it tasted disgusting. I don't think I'll ever go back.
