  • Your allotment is not a problem. The first 110 lbs that I lost was when I used to load my calories at breakfast and lunch. You don't have to eat your exercise calories. Based on the fact that a 2 lb loss per week is considered the healthiest way to go, you 're up at 1900 per day. But some people have a little more to lose…
  • Do you ever watch The Biggest Loser? Everyone always has "that week". I think your body is adjusting and toning. We know muscle weighs more than fat. So you're most likely still losing the fat, but the muscle just caught up this week. You'll probably kick butt next week on the scale. Don't get discouraged, if those pants…
  • and the caffeine. i drink caffiene free diet coke. (right after my double espresso). the sodium is fairly inconsequential. the aspertame can be horrendous for you if you have an allergy. that stuff can cause brain damage. that's why they test babies for the allergy when they're a week old.
  • Ugh... I don't need a model. I have pics of me before pregnancy... when I was cute... and a size 8... *sigh*
  • A 2 lb loss is perfect. You have 2 little bundles of joy! Things happen for you in two's! Stay healthy for your little ones, any more than 2 and it may be too much.
  • Polite? What's that? Tell 'em you're allergic to stupidity.
  • Jump rope! 14 calories per minute! woohoo!
  • I've had 2 C-sections (2 and 4 years ago). I still don't have feeling at the site of the incision. But, the good news is I figured out that certain isometrics are starting to tighten my belly and I can feel that burn: I stand at the base of some stairs, put both my hands on the 2nd step up, elbows bent at 90 degrees so my…
  • Besides my hiking boots, I'd have to say my JumpSnap. It's a jumprope that doesn't have a rope. It's programmable so it records your cals burned based on your size, how many jumos, etc. It's fun but it kicks my butt! (My rapidly decreasing butt!)
  • YEA!!!! That's so awesome! KEEP GOING!!
  • i try not to eat my exercise calories.
  • Today, mine says 10.5 pounds by then. So far, it looks like I'm on track for that.
  • Hello & welcome! This place seems to be working for me. I just stay honest with myself, exercise everyday & normally don't eat my exercise calories. Hope that helps! Good luck!
  • STEP AWAY FROM THE CARAMELS!! I REPEAT, STEP AWAY FROM THE CARAMELS!!
  • I don't know if this will help anyone but it's worked for me. I'm a snackinator around 4pm... But I usually don't have a lot of calories that I can put toward it. So I figured a way to have pretty low cal snacks but with high impact on hunger. Here's what I do: I make homemade salsa (HOT). I love making it and it's…
  • Ok, so I hadn't lost any weight in a few days and I thought I was being absolutely religious about tracking everything and exercising. Until I remembered that I forgot..... the raisins! I was adding a few raisins to my Weight control Oatmeal in the morning and a few again for lunch. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY CALORIES…
  • I can't imagine my kids being in school. If I spend all that extra time exercising, I'm gonna be a babe!
  • Thanks everybody!! You all rock! I don't want the vitamin water, although I love it: can't afford the calories. Lemon and lime? Already slicing it up. Cucumber? I never would have thought of that but it sounds so good, I'll try it tomorrow. Thanks for the help. :drinker:
  • I hate drinking water. I know I'm supposed to have at least 8 glasses a day but it's hard to stay on track. Does anyone have any tricks or suggestions for how to get enough water without disliking it so much?
  • I've heard a lot about "weight-loss soups." Kinda like the Cabbage Soup Diet or the Baptist Health Diet. Does anyone out there have any experience with these? I have a SERIOUS late afternoon munchie problem and these might work. But I don't really want to give up much of my alloted calorie limit. Right now, I just shovel a…
  • Twice a month. We used to eat out at nice restaurants about 3 times a week until we realized the scale was going up and the bank account was going down!!
  • Now THAT is a one-size-fits-all word.
  • I hate to say this... It's the daily banana. Try switching it out with a different fruit or have half a banana every other day and see if that helps.
  • Just lose the cheese. Or, go into cookinglight.com. They have suprisingly low-fat and low-cal recipes. Just substitute whole wheat pasta for any type of pasta in a recipe.
