  • Check with your OB/GYN. The old creedo tht you eat for 2 is largely false anymore. It's been proven that it's unhealthy to both you and the baby to gain more than 15 lbs. Check with your doc and he can tell you how much to increase your intake. CONGRATS!!!!!!
  • for me, the difference between powerwalking for 40 minutes and running my 5k for 40 minutes was vast! my heart rate monitor logged 326 calories burned for 40 minutes of walking and 558 for 40 minutes of running. that's huge! you're hungry because you've burned way more calories and your body is starving for them. EAT!…
  • i have the F6, my neighbor (who i walk with everyday) has the F4. i love mine waaayyy better. easier to use, easier to read, more bells and whistles. for the 20 bucks, go with the F6. you get what you pay for!
  • so i ran my first 5k on saturday... being 20 lbs overweight, 45 years old and running at 6500 ft elevation, it was no easy task. but i did it! i did it in 40 minutes 50 seconds and I DID NOT FINISH LAST! i wasn't even close to last! how 'bout that! my new goal is to run the same race next year in 30 minutes.
  • what is UP with this?? i've been stuck with 19 to go for months. i eat what i'm supposed to and i burn 600 to 900 a day with walking. i'm strong and fit but carrying around this 19 lb bag of potatoes!
  • thanks kistinbee! this is all to gear up for that 60 mile walk in october. i better make sure my insurance is paid up by then because i will fall over dead by the end!
  • i will... just as soon as i'm released form the hospital!!
  • so my neighbor and i signed up for a 5k race this saturday morning. i've never run that far in my life! i walk 6 miles a day, 3 to 4 days a week. but running? i'm 20 lbs overweight and 45 years old! i think the paramedics will just follow us and wait for me to keel over. my goal is not to simply finish... but to NOT FINISH…
  • i feel your pain! i've been stuck since april! i walk 6 miles a day, 4 days a week; mow the lawn, keep after 2 kids, have been hiking all summer. i keep good tally of the food going in but i'm just stuck. i know what it is though. it's that 2 glasses of wine a day. even though they're figured into my calories, i'm pretty…

  • try this... sara lee "45 calorie &delightful" bread, oven roasted deli style turkey breast, hellmans lite mayo, lettuce & tomato. 155 calories, fills you right up and takes 2 minutes to make! good luck with your sanity through the summer!!

  • For months I've been tracking food and exercise on here but I haven't exactly been setting the scale on fire. So I went and bought a Polar F6 Heart Monitor. OH MY GOD! Apparently, my heart is in extremely good shape. For all the exercise listed on the site, I'm burning about half of what they say I should be. I knew…

  • Being a stay-at-home mom of 2 small kids, there will be trouble if I don't get my 2 glasses of red wine everyday. I build them into my alotted calories. Seems to be working just fine.

  • I walk 4 mph for close to 2 hours. The heart rate monitor calculates over 800 calories burned for that. I've just started running... first time in my life! We'll see how that goes! When the weather is bad I jump rope or lift weights.
  • I'm sorry.. but the shoe is hilarious! I once had 2 guys that worked for me that were best friends. They reacted in much the same way when one of them wrecked the other's car....
  • jam & jelly section...
  • you may not be eating enough. i started exercising more and the weight stopped coming off. when i started eating my "exercise calories" i started dropping pounds like a stone! just a thought!
  • triple venti cappucino, nonfat, extra dry with a shake of nutmeg.
  • I lost a little then plateaued. On advice of others here, I started eating my normal cals PLUS my exercise cals. I blew right through that plateau. In fact, today I lost my 15th pound!!! YAY!
  • Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal, coffee. 160 cals..... every single morning. Kinda takes the guesswork out of it!
  • 2 egg omlette with spinach, chopped roma tomatoes and cilantro.
  • I had 4 wonderful years of being fit. At 5'7" I was 148. I was lean, strong and dammit... cute. *sniff* I felt great, I was comfortable and pain-free for the first time in my life. I will be there again. Ok, I'm older now... maybe I won't be that cute... but I will be in my size 8 Levi's!
