The problem is that you stated it as a universal fact. "Changes in size always take longer than changes in weight. As simple as that." See? Stated as fact. When yes, it is in fact highly individual, though, reading the "how much weight do you lose before you drop a size" threads do show it to be the more common way of…

Sorry, yeah, everything I listed was meant as its own separate way of eating. As in, I don't want to be vegan OR low carb OR low fat OR keto etc etc. I just want to eat yummy food, slim down, get fit and be happy.

Yup! There are some foods that are trigger foods for me as well, so I avoid them until I feel safe enough to reintroduce them slowly into my diet. Though some foods are still on the "no touchy" list. -Rice was completely avoided but can now be handled every once in a while -Buns/bread were avoided but can now be handled…

I know you are trying to be reassuring to the OP, but this isn't actually true. I lose inches must faster than scale weight.

A few years ago I tried to make a low calorie Eggs Benedict. The low cal hollandaise sauce was absolutely horrendous. And I'm not going to lie, I deserved what I got for the sacrilegious act of trying to make low calorie eggs benny. *hangs head in shame*

I love carbs and they make my workouts better! I love weightlifting and I'm not a creatine or pre-workout kind of girl. So I like to have something small but heavy on the carbs with a bit of protein and fat an hour or so before the gym. Those carbs give me such a good pump when I'm doing things like bench presses and bent…

Currently using whey protein, multivitamin, fish oil, and BCAAs. My multi has a ton of vit D in it so I don't take that separately.

Hmm. At 5'7" and even starting back at 251lbs I never ate as high as 1700 for my calorie goal. I think that would have put me at a loss of 0.5lb a week. Hardly aggressive.

Yup. Sometimes if I'm working in my office at home, hours and hours will pass without me noticing and I don't think about food until my husband comes in and puts it down in front of my keyboard.

Totally agree! I just had scrambled eggs with sausage and a giant lemon square for my pre workout meal. I don't "do" penitence. Breakfast was a fun way to get a protein/carb mix with some sugar for a bit of a workout buzz. If I had to suffer or punish myself in order to lose weight I would never last. I would quit SO fast.…

When it comes to popcorn I buy the 100 calorie bags. That way I know 1 bag = 100 calories. So much easier to track.

It depends on WHERE you update your weight. If you are using the app and update using either "progress" or the weight symbol on the homepage it doesn't auto update. If you update using the "current weight" under "goals" it auto updates your calories for you.

Interesting discussion so far.

Actually my main problem is with their corporate culture. Can't get behind a company I don't agree with, no matter how convenient they are.

Now seriously considering ordering a milkshake and just dumping some protein powder into it...

Honestly, I don't think 75lb is a massive amount of weight either way, for men or women. I just thought the way the argument was phrased was kind of crappy and thoughtless. Because lots of women and men are struggling to get there. Yes, calling 75lb "masssive" is rediculous, though I'm pretty sure it's been established…

As someone that's working to pass her 75lb bench press and feels darn proud of it can I just say that you might want to be mindful of your tone or at least the way you phrase your argument? I know you're trying to make a point and call out someone else BUT you basically just tore down everyone that's benching under 100lbs…

Ummmm no. I love to weightlift as much as the next chick but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing the other workouts I love. I don't even do Zumba and I'm wondering why you're hating on it in particular. Dancing is an AMAZING workout. Have you ever seen the strength of a professional dancer? I love dancing, and I'll…

- Chocolate protein powder - 4 Berry Blend ->frozen (Strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry) - Spinach* - Flax Seed - Coconut water *Because cooked spinach is better for you than raw spinach (if you doubt this look it up) I steam spinach and portion it into frozen spinach pucks for my smoothies.

This reminds me of when I was at a con and got my picture taken with Eliza Dushku. I was feeling like I was looking awesome that day. And then I got the picture back and she looked like a gorgeous pixie and I looked like a sweaty beached land whale. (I wasn't even warm, the light was just hitting me the wrong way!) Now I…

My pole isn't up in my current condo but I'll say that when I was using it before I got some killer arm strength! Good luck with it, you'll have a blast!

When people ask me how I'm losing weight I've gotten to the point where I just say "I count calories. Calories in, calories out, I just stick to simple physics." Because seriously, I'm so sick of hearing "low carb", "bad fats", blah blah blah. Oh my god just eat less food!
