Oh! Gotcha. One reason I wear my monitor all the time is because I'm trying to lower my resting heart rate, it's way too high. So as I do more cardio and my cardio vascular health gets stronger, my resting heart rate will lower = better heart health.

I wear it 24/7 unless I'm showering. When I sleep I wear it REALLY loose but don't take it off.

To me the rubbery waist trainers are like spanx, though a step up in intensity. Now true steel boned corsets are a whole other matter. When it comes to true waist training then it's proper corsetry or bust.

Dude (gender nonspecific), NO, you didn't just gain 10lbs because you went over your calorie goal by 150 calories with that bag of popcorn at the movies last night! Sodium. SODIUM. WATER RETENTION!!! Seriously, stop freaking out for a second and just do the math, the actual math, of how many calories you would have needed…

I have the Charge 2 and love it.

Well I don't know how many calories are in Gatorade but the protein bar makes sense to me. I drink a bottle of chocolate milk (fortified with 26g of protein) after I work out. Ok that's also after an hour of weightlifting... and done for recover... and worked into my daily calories...

I have no specific links but look for some good kickboxing form tutorials on YouTube to learn the basics and then look for some combo videos.

Oh here's a cool thing. I'm an emotional eater. But now, when I have a really bad day I don't think, "Oh god, I want pie!". I think, "Damn I just want to throw some weights around!" When you find an exercise you love it can really help in other areas of your life as well.

Ok so my new Under Armour tights have a pocket in them that fit an iPhone 7 with a case on. But I may have to check out some Bluetooth headphones just so that I don't have to deal with a cord.

Vikings. Because I've always wanted to be a shield maiden. I'm more motivated by shows about strength and bravery than weightloss.

It was simply an example of how unseen causes effect what we see. When causes are unseen we tend to draw conclusions with what's directly in front of us. Which is EXACTLY why it's so easy for people to think "Oh look that person works out and they are skinny, so working out makes people skinny." And then they are confused…

I'm basically just going to post a big fat "ditto" for all the previous posts because they've said everything I want to say too. -1.5 months is nothing when it comes to building muscle. - Eat your protein. - Eat at a slight bulk. (Unless you are doing recomp, then eat at maintenance). - Follow a proper hypertrophy program.

Yes but wouldn't this observation mix up correlation with causation? As in, they may be far from overwheight but that doesn't mean it's the bike riding that's actually keeping their weight down but possibly a tight handle on their CICO, or maybe they are naturally very slender, or maybe even illness. *Yes, obviously of…

My husband found out that he was sensitive to wheat (not gluten). When he told me, he was SO upset. I burst out laughing, because he had spent so much time raging on people that jumped on the gluten intolerance bandwagon. He had to avoid wheat for a few months while the doctors were doing testing. I teased him about being…

Helloooo! Another lifter here.

I try to leave the house for 9:30 but I'm usually at the gym closer to 10am. (I go after I get home from work around 8am).

I just did a week of eggplant. My recipe is very similar to the OP. Slice eggplant and dry fry in pan on stove until eggplant is a bit toasted. Then I layer in pan with pasta sauce. Chop up chicken (beast or thigh) and season with basil, thyme, rosemary and cook in pan. Spread chicken over top of eggplant. Pour last layer…

Wooooo! I'm on season one. I want to do the 5k marathon in the fall.

Woooooooo! You look so amazing! Best of luck!!

Because some days I may only have 3,000 steps while other days I have 12,000. It's so much easier to set it as sedentary and then get positive adjustment calories on higher activity days than bouncing around with positive and negative calories. I'm also still trying to work out how accurate my Fitbit calorie burn is for…

Hmmm I work graveyards and workout in the morning after my shift, so it's right before I'm meant to go to bed anyway. I find that I sleep better on gym days. I do full body so every gym day is "leg day", so I'll just say that yes, I sleep super well after I lift.

It depends on the type of workout. I LOVE lifting weights. It makes me feel fantastic. I like going for power walks. I used to really like running and am working on getting back into running again. I LOVE LOVE LOVE dance for cardio. I mean, to be honest, I only really dislike working out if I feel really bad at it or…

BAHAHAHA! This is exactly what my brother said to me when I first started making soap! *Hi5!*

Today I deadlifted 100lb! I'm so excited!!!

Yeah, I don't see how asking for outside motivation will get anyone anywhere, I believe that your drive to succeed must come from within you. But I totally get the posts for "support". Support and motivation are two different things, so I'm all for accepting friend requests from people that want a support system. It's nice…

If you look at the ingredients list you'll discover that 99% of the soap that you find at the store isn't actually soap, it's detergent. We call it soap the same way we call facial tissue "Kleenex". It's just become the common word for cleansing bars and liquids. True soap is lye+fat (either vegetable fat, animal fat or a…

I've never liked them, I grew up hating guacamole. Seriously the only reason i bought avocados was for making soap. (I make luxurious soap from scratch). But I've found that I love using them for baking now. I make a super moist mug cake with a mix of avocado and applesauce. And I'll eat guacamole when it's in 7 layer dip.…

Woo! Woo on you! This is absolute nonsense. It's just protein. Calories in. Calories out.

Yup! With my new workout schedule and Fitbit I wasn't sure how my loss rate would be effected. For a while I felt like I was still losing too slowly since I wasn't eating back my exercise calories for the info gathering period. But once I had a few weeks of pure drop info logged I discovered that my big drops are on about…

I had lemon meringue pie for my first breakfast today soooo... *Yes on gym days I sometimes have multiple breakfasts... like a hobbit. Lol* I Iove baking, so I tend to bake with a purpose, mostly high protein recipes. So I can work to make them low/er calorie, please my sweet tooth, and work towards my daily protein goal.
