I just ate 150 cals worth of pineapple. Of I add 100 cals of watermelon that shrinks my deficit from 750 to 500 cals a day in a snap. Say I thought they were free foods. If I were trying to eat at maintenance every day and thought these were zero point snack I would actually be gaining weight. Maybe not QUICKLY but still…

I suuuuuck at body weight exercises so they are something I’ve started working on as well. Right now I’m focusing on pushups. I think doing body weight work is a great idea.

Think of it this way, Mexicans just think of “Mexican food” as “food”. It’s macros, micros and calories, just like everything else.

Did anyone else notice that the article was actually written in 2015? It has no real baring on what’s written, other than to show another layer of laziness. They just changed the title to 2017. Literally rehashing bad data.

Spicy shrimp tacos Bbq chicken or steak Caesar salad Butternut Squash These are surprisingly low calorie foods that I lean on more now.

Ditto this. I rock out hard for about an hour. Solo dance parties for the win!

Hmmm I don’t know. If I limited my workout to 20minutes then I wouldn’t get it all in. My weightlifting rounds take between 35-45 minutes. Personally I would rather start as I mean to go on, with my full lifting program, so that I can just get into it and adapt to the knowledge of “this is what I need to do now.” I’m not a…

This morning I ran for 2kms straight! Then did 4 more KMs of short walk/run intervals. But I haven’t run for 2km for about 7 years! I feel amazing. One step closer to running a full 5K!

I bought these ones. https://www.amazon.ca/Headphones-ZOETOUCH-Sweatproof-Microphone-Cancelling/dp/B074YX2SFH/

The other day one of my guy friends suggested I be his gym buddy. Lol, I just wanted to raise my hands in the air and back away slowly. It reminded me of this thread. My gym time is mine! Lol

Bahaha! That’s how I am too. I very rarely buy icecream because if i do i basically need to accept that I’m either only eating icecream that day (to stick to calories) or be willing to eat to maintenance. With 60lbs left to lose I keep it rare. I’m TRYING to learn to not eat an entire pint in a day but it’s one of my…

Yaaaaaay, way to go! And bonus points for the Supernatural top.

It might help if you go into the recipe section and check out the Volume Eaters thread. It’s amazing how much food you can cram into a few calories. For example, a good sized bowl of butternut squash is only 50 calories. The thread will give you great recipe ideas. It helps you stick to your calorie goal and feel FULL.

Depending on where their strength is to start, dumbbells will give good strength gains as a starting place. I do all of those compound lifts with dumbbells and did from the start. Now I’ve maxed out my dumbbell availability for deadlifts, so I’m moving onto barbell. But unless they start off bench pressing over 100lb on…

Ummmm because *kitten* physics right? Energy transfer and balances based on science? Balderdash and poppycock! I hear that whole E=mc2 thing was just a frat party joke that got WAY out of hand. The theory of relativity was totally proven false in “Hogwarts: A History” *mic drop*

I’m right there with you. Curmudgeons of the world, unite!

I ate an entire frozen pizza for breakfast yesterday. 900 calories & almost entirely carbs. But stayed in deficit for the day = weight still trending down. Carbs for the win!

I don’t have the AirPods, but I did just buy some Bluetooth headphones off of Amazon and I LOVE them. Being cordless is wonderful.

I ate an entire frozen pizza for breakfast this morning (about 900 cals) in order to fuel my workout (2 hour double workout heavy weights plus outdoor cardio), sooooo I’m obviously pro-carb biased. But seriously, if you’re feeling like crap eating low carb just stop and eat some dang carbs. Weightloss is all about the…

Lift! Lift now! Lift yesterday! Not only do you get stronger (especially doing progressive overload), you retain more muscle while on your deficit. Which means less worry about looking squishy and skinny fat when you get down to goal weight. And body composition changes even though you’re still overweight, which is great.

I LOVE my gym. And it’s about to go 24 hours next month which makes it even more worth the cost. So exciting! They no longer offer kickboxing classes though, which really sucks.

I love that one. It’s the one I started with and then I modified it as time went on, but most of my workout is still done with dumbbells. My left side is stronger than my right so dumbbells makes sure I can’t overcompensate with my stronger side.

I have always been an emotional eater. And there has been a LOT of drama in my life. But this time around, my determination to lose weight has actually kept me from emotionally eating. There is this thought that goes through my mind, “It’s not worth it for the short-term emotional balm!” Now I use fitness instead. I tell…

I’m another one whose tummy seems to shrink more slowly than the rest. Frustrating as all get out.

I tend to buy turkey bacon simply for the fewer calories = more food. But I prefer the taste of stripey bacon (clarifying for those across the pond).

I don’t know if local takeaways always give calorie amounts (I know some do), but larger pizza chains probably will. I know all national chains in Canada give the nutritional info online.
-
I tend to eat Ben&Jerry’s and Hagen Daas straight out of the pint. So this is how I figure out how many portions I’ve actually eaten, lol.

You don’t have to buy a IIFYM program in order to do IIFYM.

TOTALLY counts! Some days I don’t feel like going out for a run/walk so I dance at home instead. I love dancing so I do it a lot, and if I don’t manually track it on my Fitbit as exercise, my Fitbit still picks it up automatically after about 15 minutes of doing it and logs that I was doing aerobics.
