Hi I have been in maintenance for a few weeks now and the realisation that I will always need to watch my food, weigh in, check cals, log on MFP and work out dawned on my last week and I had a dip. I managed to keep logging and work thru it - a year ago I would have gone AWOL for 6 months! This is the only way that I can…

Hi Yes - I read something about if you tap it often/sync etc., then it runs down more quickly. I will keep an eye on it over the next week or so. Thks for the info.

What a fab transformation - you must be so pleased and proud.

Actually I think I am exercising more now that I am maintaining than when I was on a weight loss plan. I do not have consistent access to a gym, - at the moment 3x1 hour gym sessions a week 50 cardio/50% weights plus 11,000 steps per day. When I have no gym then kettlebell work 3x week and power walk 3x week. plus 11,000…

Six years ago my weight spiralled above 360 lbs - managed to reduce to 190lbs but gained back 70lbs. My stupid excuses;- - I got bored and stopped exercising - Too many cals in and not enough out - restaurant meals, over portioning at home - Stopped logging and weighing my food - Using food as a comforter when I am upset,…

Pizza - I had one last week. Goodness what a let down!

I have to agree - you look like a diff person. Well done on the weight loss!

At the moment I eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. I always keep back approx. 100 cals for snack in the evening if I feel I need it.

Hi I am not an expert but just someone that gets bored easily. I would think about some strength training - maybe kettle bells. Plus an alternate workout - for when you feel that you don't want to spend all of that time in the pool. For example if I am not able to do the gym - then I power walk for 60 mins. Have fun!

I just love reading these stories - amazing results.

Just love this story - well done you look amazing.

Well done - you have worked hard to stay with your plan. It's just great when you real a new milestone.

Hi It's you call but be mindful of the extra 5lbs that you can quite get round to shifting. That happened a few years back - never really bothered to take off the xmas, holiday and special event weight that seemed to add 3-4 lbs each time. When I did finally get a grip I was 3 stone above my goal weight! That is not going…

Hi You have already been given lots of great advice. My suggestion is that you look at a range of different exercises and then decide what you like and don't like. During my weight loss months - exercise was critical and I had to find things that I enjoyed. If I really was not getting any enjoyment then I was less likely…

You lost a lot of weight figuring things out...I think your plan of 100 calories increase for a week or two is a good plan. Watch your activity levels tho. Backing off on activities is the same as eating more calories...sort of. You will LOOOVE maintenance. Congrats! [/quote] Second this quote> I just hit maintenance and…

Hi I wish my husband had spoken to me about my weight. When we finally talked about it - he said yes he could see I was getting bigger and that did not worry him, But it was impacting my health and that was his big concern but he did not want to upset me so felt it best to say nothing and just help where he could.…

Love my fitbit - even though I had a few blips recently syncing. When I got it was doing about 5,000 steps a day and now average 11,000 plus other exercise too, It definitely pushes me to do more. I like the fact that it syncs back with MFP too - which gives me a good guide as to how active I really have been, MFP exercise…

11,000 steps on Fitbit and 50 squats

I just reached my GW and will continue to log - I am not planning to stop. I worked to hard to get to my GW and don't to allow it to slip. Does my body tell me when to eat - yes sadly most of the time I am awake - I have realised over time that there are very few foods that I do not like and any time is eating time. I need…

I thought Hovis seed sensation which is lovely but I think it's 120+ a slice MFP says 122 cals a slice. Let me know if you have found a lower cal version. Personally bread is like a trigger food for me so the best place for it is in the supermarket and not in my house.

Hi Age 51 5ft 8 ins tall 186 lbs Just moving thru maintenance but I will land at 1800 -2000 a day and eat back 50% of exercise cals.

nice work .....

My hair is natural, I have it plaited under a scarf while I am working out. I sweat like crazy. I also see my other gals and guys in the gym with the same type of head gear - colour no issues - black, indian and white. No one wants to be worrying about their hair in the gym.

I know there is no diff in the cals but protein definitely makes me feel fuller. At this time it's my go to snack - a packet of ham or sliced chicken really does I for me. Plus it's low in cals too.
-
Well done - you look amazing.
-
Great that you could do it together - well done!

Actually in her profession - I am surprised she eats so much. You are right 1600 is not a lot based on her height/activity but celebs etc are know for keeping the weight really in check. I guess at 1600 she can control it and not have the endless on/off diets all the time in preparation for something big.
-
Hi Good idea - I would be happy to do regular weekly weigh in for Maintenance group.

1) Age - 51 2) Height - 5'8" 3) Weight - 189 (original starting weight 360+) 4) Lifestyle - I am on a career break so not working but I walk at least 10,000 steps per day. Work out with kettle bell 3 times a week and Power walk 3 days a week for approx. 1 hour. I really miss the gym but I have become really creative at…
