Well done! Do you measure and take photos? This would help to remind you of how much great progress you are making. Don’t let others sabotage your success.

Today - as the OP mentioned 3 meals and 2 snacks, honest tracking of foods, plenty of water and 30 mins of exercise.

Great work!

I know where you are coming from - I know that I need a constant challenge to keep me focussed on maintenance. I am just back from a long holiday so have to shift some weight to get back to my maintenance range. Normally I stay focused but I have lapses and try to keep them to a minimum. The little voice inside my head…

I am in the boat as Kruggeri - some weight creep over the summer and now staying at 1700 cals per day until the new year - again no sweat if I go over the odd dat., Xmas/New year are really dangerous times of year for me. I just don't want to blow all my hard work. Back to the question MFP set my maintenance around 2,100…

I try to see maintenance as a range not a specific number. Like most have said - every day is a challenge and you need to keep learning all the time. I originally thought I would never eat junk/fast food again. I like pizza and the odd piece of junk food, so I include it occasionally. I find it easier to stay on track if I…

Great work.

Totally agree. My weight can start to drift up easily and I have to really watch the cals in/out carefully. Logging and weighing foods helps. I don't need much of a deficit to loose - maybe 100 cals a day plus some deficit from working out seems to tip things back in the right direction. I also have a fitbit but never eat…

Agree. I used to bring back my fav foods from holiday to have back at home for a while. Crazy I know - now once the hols has finished so has the foods stuffs - no more bring homes! Really helps me to get back into my routine PDQ.

This is my second time around of reaching GW - I am still trying to work it out. I see myself in the mirror and not sure it's me. I struggle to work out what size clothes I even take at the moment. So I think it takes a while for it to sink in - that all the hard work of many months and in some cases years has finally paid…

I like this approach.

Thanks Guys- I am off tomorrow to get some cotton buds and alcohol to clean the bit, charger and wristband. Hope this works as I am lost without my Fitbit - how did I get so dependent on this little thing?

Hi All Hope the walking is going well. This week I achieved 31.43 miles = 100.53. My goal is 175 miles for the month of October, so I really need to get moving for the last 7 days! Now my Fitbit has decided to not hold it’s charge arrrgh! Keep striving for goal.

Log into MFP and read the success stories - when ever I felt fed up, the journey was too long I would read a success story and think WOW! if they can do it so can I. It just seemed to motivate me to keep going.
-
You did it your way and that's all that matters. Well done!

Hi I lost 74lbs annd have been on maintenance since June. I think you have to find a way to live and enjoy maintenance. Personally I think if life feels like one long endless diet then you are more likely to return to your old ways. For me, logging and working out keeps me on track. I can get bored easily so I like to try…

great work!

My Aha moment was watching a TV programme about a woman that was obese - walls had to broken in her home to get her out etc., I was horrified and then reflected on the fact that I weighed just 4 stones less than she did. Time to take action. I think there is something about being in the right frame of mind - so many times…

Great work!

I bought a small number of new clothes during the weight loss stage from ebay or charity shops. Then when I reached GW I bought a few more new things. Funny - how many clothes I had bought along the way that had never fitted and suddenly at GW they were fine.

Logging is a small price to pay for staying at maintenance.
