I enjoy exercising and like to try new things - I get bored easily. There some exercises that remain part of my routine - gym work out with some cardio, powerwalking and kettle bells. I would love to do more heavy lifting but i enjoy the cardio and don't really have the time to commit to a real lifting programme. It sounds…

I plan to continue on MFP. logging daily and checking in on certain groups. Having reached GW I find that different groups are now of interest - overtime I have moved away from some groups and joined others more relevant maintenance.

Hi All Hope you had a great week. Fitbit says 35.6 miles, if I add this my last weeks figure = 69.10. My goal is 175 miles for the month of October, so I need to get a move on really!

I started with FB 5 months ago with a daily target of 5k - I just about made it each day. I then increased over time and now steady at 12k per day. On holiday it has been great to do lots of walking and achieve 20k steps some days and you know the fun bit is eating back some of those cals ;-) There are also a few walking…

Hi All Hope you had a great first week. Fitbit says 32.54 miles. Not a bad start but I need to get moving to achieve my goal of 175 miles for the month of October.

Yep - agree with others. If it is genuine flabby skin then there is not a lot you can do. I have toned up a lot but my thighs have a lot. Given the choice between having all that extra weight and the flabby thighs after weight loss = I will take the flabby thighs after weight loss. Certainly not interested in going under…

Hi - Thks for the info, I just checked out your classes and they look great. Will keep looking for something our side of town. Failing that keep watching the video clips and reading the books for tips.

Sometimes it's only the music that gets you thru the workout - enjoy it!

Hi I started transitioning to maintenance by increasing my daily cals by 100, then reviewing at the end of the week and adding a further 100 cals. I also increasing the exercise intensity.Yes the weight loss slowed down abit but not much due to the increased exercise. Also it set up nicely for maintenance with a stronger…

Hi All I walked 44.59 miles from 22 to 30 Sept. For the month 1- 30 Sept = 161.5 miles. Happy with my efforts this month but feeling tired today after doing a longer Kettle bell workout this morning and then walking 6 miles too. Big thanks for organising the Sept Challenge. Will there be an October challenge?

Hi all A strange week with a few short days off target but off for a long walk this afternoon and Mon and Tues we are at the lake - so plenty of talking on the radar. Enjoy your walks!

Hi Just checked with Fitbit - last week I completed 43.78 miles. I had a really long couple of walking days touring around Verona. The total figure from the 1 Sept to 21 Sept 116.96 miles. So I have met the target but would like to set a personal target of 150 miles by the end of next week. Really enjoying the Challenge!

Hi Good question - I am learning by reading other posters replies. Personally I try do the following; . 1. 1,800 cals a day 2. Eat back max of 50% of exerc generally taking intake to 2,000 3. Exercise 5 days a week - powerwalks, gym and Kettlebells 4. Take part in MFP challenges - helps to keep me focussed 5. Log daily and…

Hi - I also have limited access to a gym - I miss it like crazy. So I now work out with kettle bells - seems to work and I feel like I am def building strength. You may wish to include in your routine. Best of luck.

Just back from a month in Sicily and 5lbs up - after a couple of weeks down to 1lb. I have learned so much from MFP postings - before I would have panicked and just gone AWOL for the rest of the summer. This time no worries - got back in the old routine, bought zero holiday food with us and just 1lb left to go. The remedy…

Hi I know how you feel. I have only been in maintenance for a couple of months and after a long holiday my weight was up 5lbs. I dreaded the thought of going back into weight loss mode and cutting back on my cals by 300+ a day or so. I read a posting on MFP about not panicking and just going back to the same routine and…

Hi All Well done for staying with it! End of week 2 38.93 miles. I had 2 really long walking days touring around Bologna. Total for 2 weeks = 73.18 miles. Really happy with the progress and I would love to meet the 100 mile target in 3 weeks. Then have week 4 as extra sweets.

Hi I am female and 5ft 8 ins tall and weigh 184 lbs. My maintenance cals can be as high as 2,400, and I originally planned to get to 2,000 cals a day but I seem to have settled around 1,800 cals and if I want more I earn it thru exercise. I eat back a max of 50% of my exercise cals. It seems to work - my weight is within…
