Week 1 - Fitbit says 34.25 miles. I am happy with that but lost most of today as I was on a cruise ship for 19 hours :-( Oh well I will need to do extra this week to keep up the pace.

well done - you look great!

Hi I used to ask for what I want, take snacks, stop at shops and buy the odd pre-made salad and eat in my room. Most of all I asked the staff to prepare exactly what I wanted. On biz you are paying high corporate rates in hotels - nothing should be too much trouble.

Thanks very helpful - I have just tried to join and my request is pending.

Not sure i could manage without Coke Zero. I drink loads and have seen no side effects.

Hi Calories in and calories out plus exercise. Everyone is different and I know that my body responds well to cardio and some weight training for toning. Plus eating healthy and not depriving yourself of the things but staying within your calorie allowance and plenty of water too. Finally you need a big dose of patience as…

Just finishing the August Squat Challenge and looking forward to a couple of Challenges for Sept. I am aiming for 100 miles and will be using my FB to record progress. Please count me in. Anyone else on Fitbit looking to buddy up please feel free to add me to your list of friends //www.fitbit.com/user/2Q7CRG

Good to read this posting as I have the same issue. My FB used to last 4-5 days now 48 hours max on a full charge. Not sure if it makes a difference that I charge via my laptop but all the lights show fully charged at the end of the session. I will email FB for a solution.

Same here I took the long route back up at 100 cals a week. Good idea to see maintenance as a range and not a specific number - the scales will move +/- a bit some weeks. I now eat at 1800 cals plus eat back some of my cals - so far so good.
-
Longer walks and more activity. I also find the sleep records interesting - now I know why I sometimes feel tired - just not enough quality sleep.
-
Same here - I have what I want but keep to maintenance. You have to find ways to create more ways to balance cals in V cals out that allows you to have yoru favourite foods.
-
Packet of sliced meats - ham, chicken or turkey - but watch the sodium. Boiled eggs Tinned Fagioli beans Tin of tuna All are great esp if you are on the move.
-
Interesting - I did not feel more hungry when I reached GW. I reversed diet up at 100 cals a week and then settled around 1800 - 2000. I can go up 2400 if necc, but happy with a bit less making room for the odd splurge. I am no expert but one thing I changed was my approach to protein - it is now my go to snack and I make…

I got out in a rain jacket. As my walking says 'No such thing as bad weather only bad clothing for the weather'.

I always think obese is such an awful label. Well done!

Yes - 5 mins logging is a small price to pay for staying at my goal weight.
-
Not sure I should be reading this posting.... could be dangerous for my thighs.
-
Well done buddy!

Hi I am probably one of those folks that still need to weigh most foods to ensure that I am logging correctly. At some point I will become more relaxed about it but for the time being logging is a price worth paying to stay within my maintenance range. One thing that helps is buying foods at the right weight e.g. fruit and…

I am loving maintenance - the thrill is everything that ha been mentioned plus stepping on the scales and still being within your maintenance range. Certainly would not change it to return to a weight loss plan again.

Hi I got my Fitbit for a similar reason - reached goal weight and wanted to keep track more accurately of my exercise/cals. Now I would not be without it - and it syncs with MFP too. There are a lot of products on the market, so you need to decide what works for you. I like Fitbit - simple to use and the data is easy to…
-
well done - you look amazing!
-
Hi I reached my goal and actually do the same if not a bit more exercise. Helps to keep me in shape, plus I work out better on more cals too.
-
He sounds like my kind of guy!
-
Really liked reading this posting - more of the same with other MFP's please.
-
I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks. Then if there are cals left and I feel like eating them I might have a late evening snack too! I actually like the routine and also the flexibility that allows me to trim a bit of each meal/snack if I am going out etc., I know that 2 or 3 big meals a day would not work for me. I really need to…

Hi I have been travelling for nearly 12 months and It can be hard as part of the enjoyment is different food etc., I tried to stay with the same food stuffs, buying my regular stuff from local shops, logging and doing some exercise too - even it's just walking. Many folks have mentioned low cal or bars. Yep - I used to…

Yes - I am def enjoying more food choices on maintenance. 5ft 8 ins tall, 183 lbs, Currently I eat at 1,800 and eat back 50% of exercise up to max of 2000. For a special events I go up my maintenance level of 2,500. Seems to work and I am never hungry
