  • Hi - I am in the same boat. I can see the finishing line in sight for the diet and then the maintenance will begin. Like many I have been down this route a couple of times and I find that starting to plan for the first few weeks of food intake is essential, just stops me diving into the fridge/cupboard/restuarants. Plus…
  • I lost 49.5 lbs - still got abit more to loose go get to goal but I am convinced that I would not have reached this stage without myfitness pal.
  • Chocolate cravings don't happen too often but if i feel that i want chocolate then I buy a couple of pieces for a quality chocolate store and take them home and eat them during piece and quiet. I would not trust myself with a bar or box of chocs.
  • You look simply georgous - you must be so delighted with the loss. Well done - I really like success stories they just give me a push and motivate me to keep going. Thanks so much for sharing.
  • Fav cereal - it's a toss up between porridge home made by Mum or Weetabix. Still love them both and feel comforted when i eat them but the porridge has been replaced by the Oat so simple golden syrup flavour - which is very yummy!
  • Meal out once a week - i try to stay sensible but need to have that break with hubby otherwise we would both go nuts.
  • Normally i take a banana or boiled egg to the gym. After a heavy session i need something to get me home and past the cake shops. As I tend to work out in the mornings - lunch is fish based with plenty of veg. I have not tried the protein drinks etc but would like to try a smoothie at some point.
  • Thks - so the answer is no to Blackberrys.
  • Over the years i have used PT sessions off/on. I am pretty good at getting up to speed in the gym but then get bored and lack motivation - almost sleep walking thru my gym time. I used PT sessions once a week to compliment my other sessions and to take my workouts to the next level - get me working harder and push me out…
  • I really like it when folks show their photos. Wow - 10/10 - just 7 months and look at the difference. Hope you don't mind me saying the before and after look like mother and daughter ;-) Keep going - what an inspiration.
  • Hi If left to my own devices I can continue eating until I almost feel sick. I am convinced that I will always have to be watchful of what I eat and remind myself of when I am full. Food for me is the great friend and the support when things are not going well. Of course when things are going right - a big meal out is…
  • wow you look fab. I feel so motivated!
  • I guess each to their own. For years I used to work out on a virtually empty stomach, the thought of eating anything before used to make me feel queezy. Then I started working with a new PT and she insisted that I eat 2 hours before our lunch time sessions. Yes - I felt queezy but after a few sessions, I got used to it and…
  • Portion of McDonalds fries - i could not believe they were 500+ for a tasteless carton of chips - real waste of cals.
  • I have used PT's off and on for many years - I have the motivation to go to the gym but do the same exercise and don't work as hard as I should. So PT for me is about pushing me out of my comfort zone and creating interesting ways to work out. My best training and results have been with PT's so it's money well spent.…
  • I think it depends on your height/leg length and if you are in a gym incline of the treadmill. I am 5ft 9 and enjoy Powerwalking fulls top. I walk at 4 mph, fast Power walk at 6 mph. I start jogging at 7 mph.
  • I don't know these DVD - maybe it's mainly in the US. I am a big fan of any walking exercise - i tried jogging years ago and never really got the habit. Power walking suits me down to the ground. can be done anytime and just 15 mins makes a diff so does not need a great deal of time. If you are enjoying it - then that's…
  • i enjoy the odd coke zero, green tea and of course lots of water. If i am feeling a bit peckish then a mug of miso seems to help.
  • winter weather frustrates me - I find it easier to loose weight in the summer or warmer weather not the chilly cold of winter.
  • I have had a weight problem all my adult life. This time the weight gain was cause by eating too much and stopping exercise. I knew i was gaining weight but simply looked the other way and ignored it. Now i am paying the price of having to work off the weight again.... will I ever learn.
