^^^ THIS! Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I donate regularly - have given close to 10 gallons over the course of many years. It's a simple thing that can save so many lives. I've heard that if everyone who was eligible to donate (and I realize there are many who cannot) would donate just ONCE a year, there would be no blood shortages. As it is, a very small…

Baby grand piano. Everyone else wanted a car or jewelry - not me!

O.k., I stand corrected. Once I was able to find a bra online in the size this says I should wear, I ordered one. It fit. My hubby will NEVER believe I am a double D. LOL
-
Thank you for the suggestion - I will see if I can find any. I've just truthfully NEVER seen a 32DD which is what the OP's calculator said I would be. You can't return bras, though, can you? Another reason I'm leery of spending lots of cash.

Had a tubal ligation - best decision EVER. Wish I could have had it done sooner.

So all that being said, where does one FIND these sizes in middle America? I've certainly never seen them in Penney's, Sears, Kohl's, etc., and can't afford $50 underwear from some online specialty shop.

I get this quite a bit. A friend saw my engagement picture (when I weighed 127) and said, "Oh, you've lost SO much weight since then!" and I got the funniest look when I said, "Actually, I weigh almost 30 pounds more now than I did when that picture was taken." She didn't believe me. All I could do was shrug and say,…

The different body fat calculator sites seem to suggest measuring your neck, waist, hips, thighs, calves, and forearms and/or wrists. That's a lot of places! I think most people concentrate on their waistline, especially if they are an apple shape. Women of course are concerned about their bustline! I'd recommend picking a…

Thanks for the smile this morning! Would love to share this with my couch potato sisters-in-law, but they wouldn't even GET it. :D

Finally lost 5 pounds, and upped my weights this week on most of my exercises. Except leg curls, dang it. Still can't do more than 35 pounds on those and complete 4 sets.

Congratulations, Ms. Fluff! Well, I started out this year at 158 and am down to 153.5 as of this morning (6 1/2 months later!). Not exactly stellar progress, but I'm feeling fitter. I've stuck to my New Year's resolutions to drink more water and get in a 1.25 mile walk before lunch each workday. Started a complete shake-up…

I'm extremely pale - always have been called Snow White due to my dark hair, red lips, and white skin. I agree with the OP that I get lots of grief over it! I'm like, "Hey, I'm Irish. Deal with it." I'd much rather be healthy and pale than tan and cancerous.

My hubby and I both read voraciously - and instead of making me tired, I have the opposite problem where I'm up half the night engrossed in a good story and forget to go to bed!!! Maybe you'd do better with audio books if your eyes get tired. Or get your eyes checked out and make sure you have the right prescription? Just…

I don't have major knee issues and want to keep it that way, so I walk, ride bikes, and roller blade along with lifting weights regularly. If I had access to a pool I would swim, as I believe that is an excellent way to get a good workout with low impact. My parents walk, bike, and swim also and are in excellent shape. I…

I deleted my old account and started over when I found out some of my real life "friends" were sniping about me behind my back on other forums. Started over and doing it on my own. It's totally your choice. I treat it like facebook - I use a pseudonym and do not have any family or co-workers as friends. Not even any…

Hmmm, well, so far several of us women disagree with you on that! I think it is a stereotype that doesn't work for a lot of women.
-
Apparently this is one reason my husband tells me I am SO DIFFERENT from most women. Per your example, I totally shop like a guy. And then only when I'm forced to because my 25+ year old clothes have finally worn out. I hate clothes shopping. Hate it. Shoe shopping is even worse. If I had oodles of money I would gladly pay…

^^^ This. I keep going also by reminding myself that while I might not be making huge noticeable gains - at least I'm not making huge noticeable leaps BACKWARDS. Hang in there!

On the "color of your pee" issue - while that works for many, also keep in mind that many of us take vitamins or medications that make our pee look like Mt. Dew, no matter how much water we drink.

If you are exercising, be sure to pay attention to how MFP calculates your calories so that you NET 1200. Don't just eat 1200 and then exercise for hours on top of that - you will be depriving your body of needed fuel. My advice: Let MFP do the balancing act for you so you're not hungry and tired all the time.

Wow. Are you always this much of a downer? At no point did the OP say she wasn't watching her diet. She was asking about walking for exercise as opposed to doing classes at a gym, etc. And for the record, I actually ate MORE when I was walking very regularly.
-
I believe I've read many places that exercising boosts your metabolism and keeps it burning even when you finish exercising (especially weight-bearing exercise, just as walking or lifting weights). Therefore I would think it would give you a slight edge, plus the advantage of working your muscles. I think eating very…

My legs are far more toned from walking than they would be if I just ate fewer calories, so I'm not sure if I agree completely with the few above poster. I lost 22 pounds from walking and watching my diet. I love it, and I sympathize with you since I hate classes and gyms and all of that. I do free weights at home and skip…

We have friends over for pizza and movies once a month. I go for a nice fast walk in the morning, do my weights, and then have 1-2 slices and some snacks during the movie. Do I go over my calories? Sometimes. Am I "eating clean"? Not according to most of the folks on here. But I'm happy and healthy and only around 10…

I always want a good answer for this question as well, since there is a HUGE difference for me! My undies are like a size 7, but my measurements would seem to put me at a far larger number. I always thought you were were supposed to measure around your widest part, which for me of course includes my butt.

I love all the events that you don't get to see much of any other time of year - gymnastics, diving, swimming, beach volleyball. I adore the Olympics!
