  • Wow. I eat more than you girls! :) This morning's breakfast was a cup and a half of Mom's Best Shredded Wheatfuls with skim milk, a half glass of cranberry pomegranite juice to wash down the vitamin, and a Pepperidge Farm mini cinnamon raisin bagel. (400 cal) Lunch will be my usual work lunch: Yoplait light yogurt, fat…
  • Keeping mine longer (below my shoulders) is the only thing that keeps it from looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket. As I get older my hair is thinning from meds I'm on, which does not thrill me since you can see my scalp now. Ick. Mine also never looks the same two days in a row. Some days it's flat, other days…
  • The only time my weight ever went way up (to the point where my clothes didn't fit) was when I was at the hospital constantly with a dying relative and not able to exercise or eat on any kind of normal schedule. I also was not weighing myself daily, and boy was it a shock when I got back on the scale! I would have been…
  • ^^ So true. I've been flamed by people who are seemingly pissed off that I "only" have 10-15 pounds to lose. As if it would be better and more acceptable to have let myself get 200 pounds overweight instead. *sigh* Maybe I'm wrong, but it would seem to me that a person's goal to get back in shape should not be slammed,…
  • Sounds like we're in exactly the same situation - they did that to me once, too, even though I was clearly spilling over the cups. ??
  • Exactly - I think I would know if I were swimming in my C cups and needed a double D!! I'm barely a C now, and that's due to bc pills. Always a B before that.
  • According to the calculator, that would make you a 30 DD. I have my doubts about this calculator!!!
  • Well, according to this I am a 34 DD ???? No way. I wear a 38 C, and usually the cups are a tiny bit loose on top. I don't think I could even get a 34" band to close in back without cutting a gouge into my back! Maybe this calculator works better for the better-endowed among you, but that doesn't seem to work for me.
  • I must have missed something - I don't think anyone said it would come off that quickly?? Of course it will take time.
  • Thanks - and yeah, I know! I've heard that from others as well. Go figure. So typical of me, though - nothing EVER goes as expected for me when it comes to this stuff. I actually feel 100% better physically being on the pills - just bummed about the weight gain and my hair falling out.
  • My doc put my (for the first time ever) on low dose birth control to keep my crazy out of control periods in check and to stop the menstrual migraines that I started having (also first time ever). I wasn't crazy about getting on birth control since I don't need it for the usual reasons, but I had to do SOMETHING. I was…
  • My BMI is 26 and my body fat (as best I can determine using measurements) is about the same. I'm older than you, though (44), and like to blame menopause for it since the extra pounds came on after hitting that lovely (not) phase of life and its accompanying medication. I am 5'6" tall and struggling just to maintain at…
  • Personally I think that would have been a great dwarf!! :D Reminds me of that list of "the 7 Dwarves of Menopause" - I can't remember them all, but it was something like Witchy, Crabby, Moody, Bloated, Sweaty, Postal, and Tired" or something like that. LOL I could so relate!!! ETA - MFP wouldn't let me put the B on the…
  • Clumsy??? Which version of Snow White were you watching? :) Sleepy, Sneezy, Happy, Grumpy, Dopey, Bashful, Doc
  • I agree that eating a bit more has helped a lot. I was always waking up in the middle of the night with my stomach growling, constantly hungry, etc. I changed my settings to have a goal of only losing .5 pounds a week instead of one pound, and it bumped up my calories from 1350 to 1600. (I'm 5'6" and currently 154 pounds,…
  • I love walking, and it has kept me in a healthy weight range for 44 years and counting! I have several marathon runners in my family, and they ALL have foot, ankle, knee, back, hip problems - not to mention vomiting after their runs, which really does not make we want to run!! Do what makes you happy. In my opinion,…
  • I gave up diet soda for six months and saw zero difference - and I was expecting such a huge difference in bloating, etc.! Really disappointed. So I went back to having one a day. (I don't drink coffee, so it's my little caffeine boost for the day)
  • ^^^ This. And I had a friend who never shaved above her knees (she was blonde). The guys in high school would tease her, and she would always say, "I don't shave it because it doesn't show." Ummm, sorry dear, but if it doesn't show than why does everyone know you don't shave above your knees??? Obviously a personal…
  • As expensive as regular bras are, there's no way I'm going to wear one and get it all sweaty and have to wash it a zillion times a week. Buy some decent ones at Walmart or Target that you can wash over and over, and save the $30 ones for work and going out! And I'm a 38C thanks to the pill, but even as a 36B like I was all…
  • I've gotten that, too. Also, "Oh, I thought you weighed more than that. But you carry it well." And this from a severely overweight nurse.
